Today, I was at the theatre with my 4-year-old son who was situated on my lap. Halfway through the movie, he turns to face me and states loudly, "Mommy, your legs are so furry!". Everyone watching the show turned and stared at us. FML

Today, I was at the local theatre watching "The Nutcracker" ballet with my mother. When the prince made his appearance in his tights my mother leans over to me and says, "Those are some well defined butt cheeks!" loud enough for everyone around us to hear. FML
Check this out!
Today, I went to the store with my 4-year-old daughter. While I was trying to change into tight jeans, which weren't completely on, my daughter opened the curtain and yelled, "It's the Mommy Show!" Everyone there heard her and saw me. FML

Today, I was eating at a restaurant in town, when a small boy started looking at me. I simply smiled and went back to eating, only to hear out of the corner of my ear, "Daddy, why does that kid's face look like that"? He said it so loud, the three tables next to us turned and looked. FML
Today, I was at the theatre watching a movie. There was a lady and a kid behind me. I all of a sudden felt ice hit my head. I turned around and asked the kid to stop, then heard his mom say, "Hit that cow!" FML
Today, we went out to dinner to a family restaurant, and I was wearing a skirt since it's so warm out. My 4 year old scooted under the table to sit next to his brother. When he popped up on the other side, he exclaimed, "Mommy! You forgot to put on your underwears!" People were staring. FML
Today, I was in a public restroom with my 4 year old daughter. I took her in the stall with me, and as I was using the restroom she looked down and loudly asked, "Mommy! Why do you have a beard on your peepee?!!" Then I heard everybody in the stalls next to us laughing. FML
Today, I went to watch the Movie "UP." At one point in the movie I got really sad and started to cry a bit. The 7 year old girl next to me noticed and told me to shut and man up. FML
Today, in a very crowded public restroom at a sporting arena, after looking to the man using the urinal to his right, my 6 year old son turns to address me on his left and exclaims, "Daddy, that man's wiener is a lot bigger than yours!" The whole bathroom heard and looked immediately at me. FML
Great day out
Today, I went to the movies with my husband and our 6-year-old son. My husband kept stealing popcorn from the guy next to him, to the point where the guy punched him in the face. The movie was stopped, the police were called, and my son is now inconsolable. FML

Tell your kid to shut up. The rest of us paid over $10 a ticket and are trying to watch the movie! I hate people who bring their damn kids to a movie and they just won't shut up! Rent the DVD and watch it at home, then your kid can cry, talk, and ask all the stupid questions it wants...and leave the rest of us in peace!

THANK you! Most of the people who turned around and stared were probably doing it because they were ANNOYED, not because they give a shit about your hairy legs.

I find the strangest thing about this the fact that you spelled it "theatre" if you're in the US (unless you're originally from somewhere else).

I lived in central PA for five years, and they spelled theater like that...and centre. So it depends on the state/region too.

There's nothing wrong with choosing to not shave your legs. But clearly this woman considers "Your legs are furry" a bad thing. IF YOU DONT LIKE HAVING HAIRY LEGS, SHAVE THEM, IDIOT.

I cannot understand why women choose not to shave their legs in the winter
myfriend_youfail 3
Because unless we're wearing short skirts, no one sees our legs. I know some women who shave every day, year round. But I find it pointless. I shave my legs when my bare legs are going to be seen. If I'm just going to wear long pants and socks, there's no point in shaving. It's not like I'm gonna go up to someone, pull up a leg of my jeans, and show off the fact that I haven't shaved in a few days. Besides that, shaving every day can strip off the top layer of skin and dry out the skin underneath. That can cause flaking, dryness, and leave the skin more susceptible to bacteria. And shaving every day can cause quite painful razor burn. Most guys don't shave their faces every day (unless it's required for their job), so why should women be expected to shave their legs/underarms/etc every day? It's such a double standard...

Hm I guess I'm the percentage that shaves everyday...I don't feel clean if I don't. Besides, it bothers me if my boyfriend even feels stubble....but that's just me.

Wow, you must have good oil glands in your skin to be able to shave every day... I've tried shaving every day, but all I get is razor burn and really dry, raspy skin (and I mean DRY, like "slather on the Vaseline and wear knee socks to bed to keep in the moisture" dry). So I've cut it down to once every three days in summer, and as necessary in winter.

Oh, it'll get a bit dry in the winter, but there's in-shower lotion that you can use, AMAZING!
