Today, I told my parents that I wasn't feeling very social and up for company. How do they try to make me feel better? By inviting a whole bunch of people I don't know to a pool party at my house. They said I should face my fears. I'm now in my room, hiding. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my parents had my little sister's birthday pool party at our house. My mom decided to tell all the guests that the pool was "just for decoration" and nobody would actually be allowed to swim in it. Cue a million screaming tantrums and my parents and even me receiving tons of hate. FML
Today, I was at a really big party and everyone was showing off by flipping into the pool one by one. When it was my go, I attempted a back flip, cracked my head open on the side of the pool, and was rushed to hospital. Now everyone hates me cause the party was forced to shut down. FML
Today, I overheard my parents discussing whether or not they could trust me being alone in the house for 2 days. They then came to the decision that I'm too unpopular and unattractive to ever throw a wild party or get laid. FML
Today, I found out that when my friends say they're too busy to hang out with me, what they really mean is that they're going to have an awesome pool party, and don't want me to come. The Instagram stories say it all. FML
Today, I told my mom I was going swimming with friends. She told me, in front of them, not to go into the deep end unless there was an adult around because I'm not old enough to swim on my own. I'm 19. FML
Today, my dad had a go at me because he thought I was embarrassed by him and that was why I never invited any of my friends over. I was too embarrassed to tell him it's actually because I don't have any friends to invite over. FML
Today, my mother asked me why I disliked her and my father's nakedness in the family pool. FML
Today, I've invited friends and family to my birthday party. I've also come home to find that my parents didn't pay the water bill. I either have to tell everyone I know that they are uninvited or not to take dumps in my house. FML
Today, I laid in bed until 3am kept up by a house party. In my own house. Which my housemates didn't invite me to. FML
Today, I learned that my parents know that I have no friends when they told me to go and make some. FML

Your parents make no sense. You simply said you don't feel like company, not that you have a social phobia. Not that having a raucous pool party would be a good way to force your child to get over their social phobia anyway.

if you are hiding, then you have a much bigger problem than just needing alone time. quit making excuses for your fear and figure out away to live your life by choice- without the fear. or youre not really living.

OP, I understand and feel for you right now. If being alone is how you like it, then tell your parents. I had the same issues with my parents and they would always ask me why I don't come down to talk to guests often etc. They thought I was being antisocial where I just preferred to be alone and enjoy myself, and not have to put up with people. Rock on OP, people like us can enjoy ourselves, by ourselves.

She could have a very serious mental problem that either doesnt allow her to act "normally" (if that word can be used to describe anyone's personality) in front of groups of people or that she prefers to be by herself which is fine and I also prefer the latter. So to all the inconsiderate low intelligence scumbags who taunt her, here's a personal message from me, "Go to ******* hell and never come back."
