Today, I was shopping with my girlfriend, when I saw my best friend. I jokingly did a double-take and said I didn't recognize him with his clothes on. We laughed, talked a bit, then went our separate ways. My girlfriend later dumped me, claiming I'm blatantly gay and cheating on her. FML
Today, I found out everybody at work thinks I'm a lesbian because they thought my boyfriend was a girl. FML
Today, I overheard my boyfriend bragging about me to his friends, telling them I have a great smile, cute hair, and very perky tits. This wouldn't be so bad if we weren't both men. FML
Today, my best friend confessed to me that she's a lesbian. She quickly added, "Oh, don't worry, I don't like you. You're not attractive." FML
Today, a client stared at me in disbelief after I mentioned that I had a boyfriend. FML
Today, I tried proving to my best friend that I wasn't a lesbian by telling her I once liked her brother. She was mad because I never told her and now she's calling him. FML
Today, I told my best friend I was breaking up with my girlfriend of 3 years. He thought it would be funny to tell her I was going to propose to her that night. She showed up telling me how much she loves me and that when we get married how great it will be. FML
Today, my boyfriend wanted me to get a shirt saying "I'm a girl," just so people won't think he's gay. FML
Today, I told my mom I was with my female friend last night, because I wasn't ready to tell her about my new boyfriend. I didn't realize he gave me a hickey and now my whole family thinks I'm a lesbian. They won't stop making fun of me. FML
Today, I came out as a lesbian to my friends. They were supportive, save for my one friend, who accused me of copying her by also being a lesbian. FML

That's insecurity at its best. If reassuring him doesn't work, dump him. You can't be worrying about a manchild who won't believe you when you tell him the truth. Insecurity on that level usually leads to emotional abuse towards you and sometimes leads to physical if you don't nip it in the bud.

It could be second nature for him, I've had experience with a girl I dated who turned out lesbian and was using me to decide if she was or not. Try asking about it before it's too late, hope it works out okay OP!

Tbh he is a complete jerk. If I was you I would just let him be mad at me, if he thinks giving your best friend a confidence boost is considered a lesbian act he doesn't know how women work.
