Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my dad texted me, "I love u." I replied, "I love you too dad... are you drunk?" He answers back, "Of course I am..." My dad only tells me he loves me when he's drunk. FML
Today, I received a text message from my older brother. It said, "Ah... I want you". I hope to god it was intended for someone else. FML
Today, I had a serious conversation with my dad about my brother and me. It started with, "I love you", and ended with,"You and your brother were mistakes." FML
Today, I sent my boyfriend of three and a half years a text message spilling my heart out, saying I'll love him forever, and how much I appreciate him in my life, that I want to be the mother of his children, etc. His text back to me? "Are you drunk?!?" FML
Today, I was talking to my aunt about my brother's recent arrest for drug possession. I proudly told her that I have never done drugs of any kind. Her response: "Well, actually you were born addicted to heroin, so you had a drug problem long before your brother." FML
Today, I got a text from my ex-boyfriend telling me he still likes me and might love me too. Later I asked him if he really meant it and his response was "I don't know. I was high." FML
Today, my brother hugged me for the first time. Turns out he was patting me down to make sure I didn't have cigarettes. Love you too, bro. FML
Today, my older brother offered me a cigarette. I took it and barely took a drag before he socked me in the arm and lectured me for taking the offer. He's an alcoholic, and smokes daily. FML
Today, I texted my mom, “Love you!” and immediately followed it with, “Oops wrong chat” except it wasn't the wrong chat. She replied, “???” and now she thinks I only say I love her by accident. FML
Today, I was practicing the piano. My brother told me that if I loved him, I would stop. FML

That doesn't sound like something somebody high would say, it sounds like something somebody about to jump off of something high would say.

I can see why he would text that back to you. If my sister randomly texted me that I would think one of two things: she's high as a kite or she's about to off herself. You don't just randomly text someone like that. You have to warm up to it like have had a really great night out with the person...something that would make you reflect upon how much you care for a sibling, etc.

I do the same thing to my bro and he does the same with me. Its a brother thing grow a pair and deal with it. Hell my brother implies are calls me gay on atleast a weekly basis and you don't see me whining and running to fmylife about it..... wait.... I just did..... ****!

I would have been as creeped out as your brother probably was. He might have thought you were suicidal or something. Try thinking about context, and having one, in the future.
