Today, I submitted a poem for my English class. I had fun writing it, so I wrote a second which was not nearly as good. My procrastinator of a friend never did his, so I gave him my extra poem. Mine was given a 75% while "his" received a 93%. FML

Today, we got our results for our final grade English paper on which I worked my butt off on, and also which I let my best-friend copy off from. I received a E- and two detentions for plagiarism. My friend got a A-. All she said was, "Oh well, at least you tried your best". FML
Today, I had my teacher look over my essay before turning it in. He said it was extremely well-written, so I handed it in. When I got it back, the feedback he left said it was one of the worst essays he'd ever read. FML
Today, I turned in an overdue English assignment at college. My instructor accused me of plagiarism, writing that my sentence structure was "TO" good. Seriously? FML
Today, I saw a person in my class completing a project that was due two periods later and that they had just started in the bathroom. They got a better grade than me. FML
Today, I turned in an essay after staying up late to work on it. I was away when the teacher assigned it, so I'd asked my friend what the subject was. It transpires that she'd given me the wrong one, all because she was mad at me for not returning her pencil. FML
Today, my English professor bragged to my entire class about how good my essay was. He kept on saying great things about it for the duration of class. To my surprise, he'd given me a C-. When I asked why, his only response was: "I'm a hard grader." FML
Today, I received a terrible grade for an essay I worked really hard on. I had two friends, one being an English major, check it over. However, apparently I "clearly didn't use spellcheck" on this essay just like the last one I submitted to her. FML
Today, I got a writing assignment back. After meeting with my professor specially after class and meticulously combing through every word of that paper, I got a low D. Turns out, he graded me down on every suggestion of his that I took. FML
Today, my teacher gave me a 0% on my personal narrative in my writing class. His only comment on the whole paper was, "Too long, didn't read." FML
Today, after finishing a huge French essay, I realized my printer wasn't working. So, I emailed it to a guy in my class to print and then give to me. When I get to French, he said he had already turned his in early and never got my email. It turned out he used mine. I got an F on the essay. FML

Well maybe next time you'll think twice before helping people who don't want to do their own work.

I don't get why all these people are writing "friend" or tell him to turn his friend in, he WILLINGLY gave the work to his friend, expecting it to be turned in. It's his fault just as much as his friend's fault.

And after, the teacher read this FML and understand who it is about and give you 0% to both of you. YDI!

That's why you hand write them...they'll notice it's your poem due to your handwriting and by that you would get extra credit possibly

It's not fair but many teachers grade based on the student, not the work itself. So if your poem was better than your friends regular work, the teacher might assume he tried harder and gave him a higher grade. The teacher might have a higher standard for you based on your other work and assumed you could do better. Again, it's not fair, but it's often how it's done in middle/high school. Things should get better in college.

Why would you give someone your work anyway? If they want to be lazy and fail, let them be lazy and fail! Isn't giving people your work cheating anyway?
