Today, I saw a person in my class completing a project that was due two periods later and that they had just started in the bathroom. They got a better grade than me. FML

Today, I finished a huge project for work. It took 3+ days and I was very proud of it. Except when I submitted it to my boss, he said that he'd already asked another person to do it. He used that person's project, not mine. FML
Today, after working like a caffeine-fuelled thunderstorm for 9 hours straight on an art project, my 2 friends informed me that it was due next week. I slept for 10 hours, and then went to my class without my project, thinking I lucked out in the long run. Clearly not, as it was due today. FML
Today, I submitted a poem for my English class. I had fun writing it, so I wrote a second which was not nearly as good. My procrastinator of a friend never did his, so I gave him my extra poem. Mine was given a 75% while "his" received a 93%. FML
Today, I've been making extremely good progress in my online class. Or at least… I was, until the deadline to complete it was suddenly pushed a whole month forward, causing me to be "behind." Then my teacher had the nerve to email me, telling me I needed to catch up. FML
Today, I finished a 6-part project. It took me 7 hours of straight work because my partner decided I should do it alone. I then learned that the reason my partner did not help me was because the teacher e-mailed the leader of every group, saying the project was cancelled. FML
Today, I'm grading final projects for a junior level college class. A student finally turned in their work, after months of encouragement and coaxing. Half of it was plain wrong, the rest had so many spelling and grammatical mistakes, it appeared to be written by a drunk autocorrect program. FML
Today, I finished my classwork and my homework early. Since we weren't allowed to leave the room, I decided to draw. My teacher noticed and gave me detention for "goofing off" when I should be doing my work. When I told the teacher I was already done, they gave me a second detention for "attempting to defy them". FML
Today, I accidentally farted in the middle of class. Thinking I got away with it, I just kept doing my work until some kid across the room says, "I could have done better." FML
Today, I tried to turn in a final exam online. When I went to check if it had been submitted, Blackboard told me it did. My grade told a different story. FML
Today, I asked my classmate if she was ready for the final tomorrow and she said it was yesterday. I'm not a bad student - I have 90+ average in the class - but the final was 50% of my grade. FML

Lol it's true (sometimes). A classmate once reminded me of a mid-term exam I'd forgotten about which was in 3 hours. I studied like a mad woman in those few hours and got a B+. She studied a whole week and got a C. Definitely don't recommend doing that on purpose though lol.

I wish I was gifted like that! When I was in Uni there was this guy in our class who never, EVER studied but the day of the test he'd read his notes and managed a B average. I just didn't get it but it works. Putting in effort right before time is out makes recall easier and actually accomplishing something happen because there is no more time- it's do or die.

What kind of project was it? I can't really see someone doing it that fast, unless maybe they had already done the research and they were just putting it together?

It was probably that, or the project only needed as much research as you could get from ghe textbook. This was probably one of the simpler kinds of projects. Anything more complex would have been started the night before or earlier that morning.
