Today, I saw a poor helpless cat in the middle of the road while driving. I pulled over and scooped it in my arms to bring it to safety. Not only did I get mauled and scratched by the cat, my car also wasn't put in park and rolled away hitting a parked car. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, while driving, I witnessed the neighbors dog viciously shaking a black cat. So I slammed on the brakes and jumped out of the car, frantically chasing around the huge dog screaming "Help, someone please help!" I finally managed to tackle him and release the cat. It was a stuffed animal. FML
Not the brightest moggy
Today, my cat got outside and had the bright idea to walk in the middle of the road, right as a car was coming. The driver didn't notice him, so I had to sprint over there, leap into the road, and toss my cat to safety. He's fine, aside from being soaked (he landed in a puddle), but I've felt better. FML
Cats and Cars
Today, I had to take my cat to the vet. On the way there, he managed to get out of his cage, climb into the front seat, onto my chest, and howl in my face as I tried to drive down the highway. I ended up with stitches and still got charged for missing my cat's appointment. FML
Today, I swerved to miss hitting a kitten, over-corrected, hit and killed the cat, and totaled my truck by hitting a parked car. FML
Today, I ran over a cat while driving home. I tried to keep myself together but couldn't help but cry because of how bad I felt. Through my tears I failed to notice a porcupine in the middle of the road. Yep, I hit him too. FML
Today, I was walking my husky when she saw a cat and bolted toward it. I couldn't let go of the leash because my hand was tangled up. Forced to run along, I ran into a parked van at full sprint. I lost my dog, broke two ribs and have to pay for the dent in the van. FML
"Pspspspspsps" ain't gonna work this time
Today, I got into my truck after a long day at work, only to notice that a large section of the seats and doors had been destroyed by a feral cat that had somehow gotten trapped inside. I’m still not sure how it got in. FML
Put a tiger in your tank
Today, a stray cat climbed up into my car's engine for shelter at some point last night. Guess how I found out this morning. FML
One thing after the other
Today, someone did a hit and run on my car hard enough to knock it onto the curb from its parking spot, destroying the bumper. They didn't leave any info behind. After taking care of police reports and such, I got home and took off my shoes just to step in a puddle of my roommate's horrible cat's diarrhea. FML
Save the doggo
Today, I was driving down the road when a dog suddenly ran across the street. In attempt to spare its life, I swerved to the side of the road and rear-ended another car. The car I hit belonged the family who owned the dog. Now I have to pay them because I saved their dog's life. FML

That one could go either way. FYL for getting scratched but YDI for not parking the car.

I'm sorry, but "my car wasn't put in park"? You mean that YOU didn't put your car in park. Accountability must be retained...

YDI for not putting your car in park. Kudos majorly for attempting to help the kitty, though! :)

That sucks but you shouldn't have picked it up. I mean maybe it looks innocent but you never know.

LOL What the hell does being "nice" have to do with a war? And what war? There's probably like 6 wars going on right now. And saving a ******* cat wouldn't have anything to do with any of them. Especially since the guy you were responding to was saying to focus on making *people's* lives better, not stupid cats'. Epic fail post.

Why more YDIs than FYLs? That's not right.

oh, you are so naive. Picking up stray animals is generally (read: always) a bad idea . . .
