Today, I rear-ended a car while I was texting about the accident ahead which was causing all the traffic. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, while driving to a client's home, I received a text. Since I loathe those who text and drive, I pulled into a convenience store's parking lot. While I was texting, a car sped into the lot, rear-ending my car. FML
Today, while driving, I got a call on my cell phone. Trying to be safe and avoid an accident, I pulled into the nearest parking lot before answering. While I was turning in to park, someone rear-ended me. FML
Today, I rear ended a cop while talking on my cell phone. FML
Today, I was driving in stop and go traffic and passed two accidents in the process. I got nervous and decided to change routes to avoid getting hit. As I was trying to find an alternative route on my GPS, I rear-ended the car in front of me. FML
Today, while driving to work in heavy traffic, I got so into the song I was listening to that I tapped my foot on the gas to the beat. I rear-ended the car in front of me. FML
Today, I was driving home from work and noticed the car behind me was tailgating me pretty badly. I was starting to get angry with the driver, and kept glancing in my rear view mirror at him. While I was doing so, the traffic ahead of me stopped, and I rear-ended the car in front of me. FML
Today, I was in a car accident. After screaming at the woman for running into me, I got in my car and drove off. As I was driving away, I was staring her down when I ended up rear-ending the person in front of me. FML
Today, I wrecked my car because my mom texted me, telling me not to text and drive. FML
Today, there was a traffic accident on the highway which I normally take. I couldn't resist laughing at the driver since he was stupid enough to rear-end someone on the highway. What I didn't realize is that I forgot to pay attention to the road and rear-ended the car in front of me. FML
Beep beep
Today, I saw a woman still texting on her phone as she started to drive away when the light turned green. I made sure to stare her down and give her a dirty look because she wasn't paying attention to driving. She laughed as I rear-ended the car in front of me. FML

oh, the irony :D it's good and tastes like a cheeseburger, with onions and lettuce, mushrooms, Swiss, Colby, American cheese that's melted right into the seasoned meat... yeah...

I hope you learned your lesson. It's really not fair to us in the world with families for people like you to put them at risk for the sake of your social life.

Also, some people CAN text without looking at their phones. Others might have the text to speech tool, like I have on my phone. Hands on the wheel, eyes on the road, I just tell my phone what to type and say "send message now". It'd probably be just as easy to use a hands free headset to talk on the phone, but I like the idea of talk-texting.

Yes, but you may be looking at the road and your mind is focused on your phone.

What could be so important that it can't wait? What's wrong with just driving? Not trying to be judgemental- at least you do seem to try to be safe. However, I'm sure you probably feel the same as me about people who drink or get high and drive and say they are better drivers when they are messed up. Completely ridiculous. Too many innocent people at risk for people's selfish whims.

#44 Conversing with the passenger(s), stereo functions, hands-free phone conversation, voice to text messaging etc. all require attention. Unless you drive in complete silence and keep both hands on the wheel at all times, you can't give your undivided attention to the road. Even then, you could be doing all this and be thinking about ******* a banana. Your mind wanders... your eyes shouldn't.

agree all the way, except for banana.

How is that any different than talking to someone that's in the car? Are you suggesting that people shouldn't talk to other people in the car because the driver is focused on the other person instead of the road?

Hmmm.... makes you wonder if the first accident was caused by the same poor driving habits.

Oh how I can rant on this subject... You deserve it! I can't STAND people who text or talk on their phones while driving! Mostly because we've had a couple of little kids in the area where I live who've been killed by inattentive drivers who were texting or talking on their phones. I've seen people in up in ditches by my house because the downhill road was wet and they were going too fast and also texting at the same time. HANG UP AND DRIVE BITCH!

If you're determined to kill yourself, just use a gun. Don't rely on texting while driving. If you're determined to kill the rest of us, just kill yourself. You'll feel better.

@BlargHonk You obviously didn't see the other part of my comment. If my hands are on the wheel, and my eyes are on the road, then I'm curious about your reasons for hating me. If they're still the same, meaning you still hate me because even though I'm speaking the words to my phone, it's still "texting", then remember that next time you sing along with a song on the radio, or talk to the person in your passenger seat.

Assumption failure! I try not to drive with the radio on, except sometimes NPR. I also don't make phone calls or text while I drive. Remember not to make assumptions. It makes an "ass" out of "u" and "mption". Also, there IS a reply feature on the app. I'm posting this from my phone. So you're basically wrong all around.

... and you even posted this FML from your mobile. You may have a death wish, but don't inflict your suicidal idiocy on the rest of the world, just drive off the nearest cliff top and have done.

i was about to reply with that. ironic much? not only does she text about the accident she has seen, thus causing another disruption. she then follows this all up by posting an FML from her mobile phone about the rear-ending she got while she was texting a friend about the accident on the road. WHAT THE ****?!
