Today, I realized that before I can legally drink, I will have been married, divorced, and pregnant. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Life comes at you fast
Today, I’m 20, pregnant, and getting a divorce. I asked my soon to be ex why he even bothered marrying me in the first place. He said it’s because his parents “made him.” I can’t believe I’m going to be a pregnant divorcee before I’m even able to legally have my first drink. FML
Bad timing?
Today, I found out that I'm pregnant. I buried my 8-year-old son two weeks ago and had my husband serve me divorce papers three days ago. FML
Today, I found out my soon-to-be husband and father of my unborn child is already married to another man. FML
Planned parenthood
Today, I found out that I'm pregnant. I also found out that the dad has a fiancée. FML
Today, I am pregnant, sober, designated driver, and puke cleaner. Yay for the New Year! FML
I'm too old for this stuff (or so I thought)
Today, I found out that I'm pregnant. I'm 53 and I have four grown children and grandchildren. FML
Double whammy
Today, my wife told me she wanted a divorce and walked out. This is two days after she informed me that she is unexpectedly pregnant. FML
Today, I found out I'm pregnant. My husband and I are divorcing because HE had an affair. He now wants a paternity test. FML
Today, I officially became a divorced marriage counselor. FML
Today, I was watching a home video of when my mom was pregnant with me. She had a beer in her hand. FML

How do you know they slept around in high school? Here's some math: Marries at 18 (we have seen why this is becoming less common), gets pregnant a year later (now she's 19), marriage fails (because they were young and didn't think it through) and she will probably be 20 before the divorce is finalized. Perfectly reasonable scenario, not a ****, and still too young to drink. #10--asshole. Go back to remedial modern day society classes, and adjust your views of this country. God, some people are so out of touch.

I laughed that you said it's "not hard." you must be getting help.

I don't understand why everyone is saying YDI. Let's say OP got married and pregnant at 18/19, and that's fine. Maybe the father ran out when he found out she was pregnant. There's a high possibility that OP did nothing wrong, in which case FYL.

haha like my exhusband that cheated and much worse I left.. I paid for both of our attorneys because I made more... he was ordered to pay barely anything for child support each month and has not once actually paid any of it... oh and he skips his visitations... so the year of attorneys I paid with him fighting me for children that he's made no attempt to contact since ughhh

What happened to the times when you get married and actually stay with the same person for 50+ years...make LOVE with only that person and be happy about!! Not saying anything bad about the OP its just times have changed I guess

The husbands cheated, the wives were unheard and desperately unhappy... I agree with you, though, at least we used to strive for the ideal; Now we seem to race towards its destruction.

YDI because there can be no possible way this is anyone else's fault.

op only says she has been pregnant, not that she kept it. maybe she showed the wisdom to abort or give it up, knowing she was not ready to be a mother. this does smack of ydi...who gets married that young in the US and expects it to last? but she might be making smarter life choices as a result of all this. waiting for flames from the suggestion that abortion is a sign of wisdom...

I found that wording odd as well. I doubt OP will comment though so we'll never know.

Another possible explaination for the strange wording. OP is 20, and pregnant, but will turn 21 (old enough to drink) before the baby is born.

I feel I should add that I would have gotten married that young, and expected it to last, if I had more money, or less personal obligation to invite my whole family. With a family as big as mine, there's no way it will fit my budget until I'm at least 22, and that is something really important to me for my wedding. I don't care about the dress or the decorations or the other fancy crap, but I do want all my uncles and aunts there. I feel certain that had we married as soon as we became engaged (at which point I was 18. I'm still quite young. Only 20.) we would still be together, and I'm still quite confident that our relationship will last. I don't think a marriage certificate and a pair of wedding rings will really change the dynamic of our relationship all that much.

are you proud of yourself yet?

I bet it's all a result of illegal drinking, too. Smart one
