Today, I realized that although I'm dating the most loveable, caring and genuine man, the fact that he's a crack addict means I'll never be his drug of choice when he needs a hit. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, my boyfriend told me love is like a drug. I started tearing up because this is the most romantic he has been in a while. He then went on to break up with me, telling me that my "prescription is up". FML
Betrayal #4474
Today, I discovered that all the times my boyfriend says he's in the bathroom with horrible diarrhea, he's actually sitting there smoking crack and talking to other women. I've dedicated everything in my life to him. I feel so brokenhearted and defeated. FML
Charity
Today, I found out that the dude I love has been taking the money I used to support him and buying heroin with it. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me, with complete confidence, that he's selected "drug dealer" as his career of choice. FML
A dealer of both drugs and hugs
Today, I found out that the reason why the guy I took home from the bar seemed to understand everything about me instantly was because he was my ex's secret drug dealer. FML
I'm not worthy
Today, my boyfriend of three years who I helped through drug rehab and find employment in my office left me for someone else. His explanation was that now that his "head is not clouded with chemicals" and he "makes decent money", he wants to settle down with someone worthy of him. FML
Today, I realized I willingly support my boyfriend's alcoholism, because the only time he says "I love you" is when he's blind drunk. FML
High times
Today, after dating for almost a year, I decided to introduce my parents to the man I was sure I'd fallen in love with. When dad saw him, his and my boyfriend's face completely dropped. I asked them what was wrong because I could feel the discomfort. Turns out, I'm dating my dad's drug dealer. FML
Been there, done that
Today, I came to the unhappy realization that I’m living such a cliche. I’m completely in love with a totally unavailable man. He’s funny, smart, and drop dead gorgeous. There’s no way I could ever tell him how I truly feel. He’s gay and I’m a woman. We’ll never be more than friends. FML
The ick
Today, I realized my best friend has it bad for me. This man has treated me better than the guys I’ve dated. He goes above and beyond for me, and makes me feel safe, valued, and respected. He’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a guy, except he’s butt-ugly as fuck. I feel so bad that I can’t return his feelings. FML

Surely the fact he takes crack is concern enough?

OP, shouldn't you be more worried that he's a crack addict?

I've been there myself and I know the person themselves can be truly amazing...but the addiction will always win out when push comes to shove...you don't deserve that treatment at all...maybe in time he will seek help but until then maintain some distance...it will protect you

They got addicted so they are never amazing in any sense except amazingly stupid.

The guy may be great... but he needs to get his shit together. Tell him to deal with his problem. If he us not ready for that, no amount of help will save him. In that case... DTMFA for your own sake.

Is he the most loveable, caring and genuine man when he's sober or on crack? That is the question!

Way to put a silver lining on your very poor choice in men. Walk away. You can't fix him, and until (and if) he fixes himself he'll never love you as much as his drugs. You'll be no better than "the other woman".

wow every one of you is absolutely clueless!!! addiction doesn't make you a bad person. it's what you do because of it. I bet most of you read this app daily nobody looks down on you for being addicted to it......

Sorry OP, but there's NOTHING genuine, caring or loving about crack (or any other drug) addicted people. They care nothing about anyone/anything except their next fix. Time to pull up your big girl pants & either get this guy into rehab or get away from him for your own safety.
