Today, I realized that although I'm dating the most loveable, caring and genuine man, the fact that he's a crack addict means I'll never be his drug of choice when he needs a hit. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my boyfriend told me love is like a drug. I started tearing up because this is the most romantic he has been in a while. He then went on to break up with me, telling me that my "prescription is up". FML
Betrayal #4474
Today, I discovered that all the times my boyfriend says he's in the bathroom with horrible diarrhea, he's actually sitting there smoking crack and talking to other women. I've dedicated everything in my life to him. I feel so brokenhearted and defeated. FML
Charity
Today, I found out that the dude I love has been taking the money I used to support him and buying heroin with it. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me, with complete confidence, that he's selected "drug dealer" as his career of choice. FML
A dealer of both drugs and hugs
Today, I found out that the reason why the guy I took home from the bar seemed to understand everything about me instantly was because he was my ex's secret drug dealer. FML
I'm not worthy
Today, my boyfriend of three years who I helped through drug rehab and find employment in my office left me for someone else. His explanation was that now that his "head is not clouded with chemicals" and he "makes decent money", he wants to settle down with someone worthy of him. FML
Today, I realized I willingly support my boyfriend's alcoholism, because the only time he says "I love you" is when he's blind drunk. FML
High times
Today, after dating for almost a year, I decided to introduce my parents to the man I was sure I'd fallen in love with. When dad saw him, his and my boyfriend's face completely dropped. I asked them what was wrong because I could feel the discomfort. Turns out, I'm dating my dad's drug dealer. FML
Been there, done that
Today, I came to the unhappy realization that I’m living such a cliche. I’m completely in love with a totally unavailable man. He’s funny, smart, and drop dead gorgeous. There’s no way I could ever tell him how I truly feel. He’s gay and I’m a woman. We’ll never be more than friends. FML
The ick
Today, I realized my best friend has it bad for me. This man has treated me better than the guys I’ve dated. He goes above and beyond for me, and makes me feel safe, valued, and respected. He’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a guy, except he’s butt-ugly as fuck. I feel so bad that I can’t return his feelings. FML

Surely the fact he takes crack is concern enough?

OP, shouldn't you be more worried that he's a crack addict?

This really speaks to me. I dunno if this will help you or not, but I was in a similar situation recently with my boyfriend, except I'm the addict, not him. I relapsed and he pretty much kicked me out and won't have anything to do with me. Claims he loves me, and I know he does. Just really hurts he turned his back on me. But he knew that in that state of being, I would do anything to get high, didn't matter who I hurt or lied to or whatever. He couldn't go on like that. I'm clean now. And it's because of the break up. Because as much as I want to be with him and love him, our relationship was poison to me. There's a lot more to it than I can explain here. But in the end, as much as it hurts, and feels like you'll never meet anyone like that again, splitting could be the best thing for both of you. It would make him have to face the consequences of losing a great relationship because of his use, that was really the only thing that snapped me out of my relapse. And it's best for you, you can't be with someone you don't trust. That's a miserable way to live. I dunno, I've been on both sides of the fence. Being an addict and also being the sober one having to deal with an addict. Neither is fun. Neither can progress. Idk. Just my 2 cents.

Don't enable him. He either needs to get clean, or you end the relationship. Since you seem to be totally accepting of the whole crack addict thing, YDI.

maybe not but you can be his punching bag when he needs something to hit... they can get quite violent

Do some of you not know what "hit" means in relation to drugs?? She does not mean that he is physically hitting her. She means hit as in "hit the pipe, bowl, etc. As in smoking crack.
