Today, I decided to bleach my hair but then my mom got mad and put my hair in a bun after helping bleach it. Mind you, it is currently blonde orange and black and I don't think it worked, and my hair is fried. FML
Today, I decided I wanted to dye my hair a medium brown. Little did I know, some jerk switched the hair dye boxes. My hair is now bright orange. FML
Today, I tried dying my hair blonde. I put my hair in a bun and waited for it to dye. I guess I did something wrong, because my hair is now 4 different shades of blonde/orange, along with patches of my natural black hair. FML
Today, I bleached my hair for the new school year. Instead of blonde, it came out orange, making my hair look like a bloated pumpkin. FML
Today, I tried to dye my hair blonde using a DIY kit I found online. As I was washing out the dye, I realized my hair had turned bright orange. I had to wear a hat all day to avoid being seen in public with a Johnny Rotten fright-wig. FML
Today, I decided I wanted to bleach my hair, so I asked my mother for help. Apparently, something went wrong, because clumps of my hair started falling out. Now I'm half blonde and half bald, and my mom is just laughing at me. FML
Today, I went to get my hair highlighted at the salon. The salonist mixed up my blonde hair dye with some other girl's hot pink and violet dye. Now I look like a cheap hooker. FML
Today, after wasting $60 and 3 hours of my time getting my hair dyed to get rid of the ugly orange tint it had from the last time I got my hair dyed, it turned out to be the exact same color I started with. I go on vacation in 6 days and hate my hair. I'm not looking forward to taking pictures, that’s for sure. FML
Today, I got my hair dyed at a fancy salon. While the stylist was pulling out the foils in my hair I sat up and started screaming in pain because the hot foils were burning my scalp. All she said was "oh, you're fine". I went back home to find an oozing burn wound on my scalp. FML
Today, I colored my hair. It was supposed to turn out blonde, but it became more a mix of red and brown and blonde patches. When I tried coloring everything back, a green tint was added. My hair is at the moment red, brown, blonde and green. FML

It's not that difficult to lighten hair from a professional standpoint. My hair is naturally very dark. Stylist just bleaches my hair and tones it. If I want to do something else like depositing color they use specific products to move my roots from dark brown to blonde. idk

You should always do your research and know what to expect when bleaching. Pretty much every color other than dark blond will require toning and possibly more than one bleaching process.

Wow that sucks. Similar thing happened to my cousin too. She dyed it again. Hope you can dye it soon. I think you have to wait a couple of days/weeks before you dye it back? Good luck

Give your hair a break. She must've left the bleach too long. You are supposed to bleach a couple of times within the duration of two days. That's what I did with my hair. I would recommend your refund. Once your hair heals you should try it yourself. But I would recommend either dying it back to regular color once it heals or dye it some other color that won't look even worse with orange blended in

Always go off recommendations for that sort of thing (from someone who's had something similar done) so that you have a safer idea of how well it will turn out.

I think taking hair from dark brown to blonde is a process and should take a few sessions to properly tone it.

Really? My hair is a darker brown and it only took one round of bleach to make it a medium blonde. Maybe because That was the only time I bleached it?

you can generally only lift color 4 shades at one time. you bleach it to lift the color, then either tone or apply the desired color (ie medium brown). if you want to go lighter, you must wait and follow the same process repeating until you have reached the desired result. it is a big commitment to go from dark brown to blonde, not a one day thing. the hairstylist should have known this and explained it to OP before doing anything.

Ah sorry op, don't stress it though, your hair will grow back and some people fin gingers hot so it might work out for you
