Today, I left my phone outside on the grass while I went inside to get a drink. I didn't expect my dad to run over it with the lawn mower. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Mowed down
Today, I was mowing the lawn while wearing gym shorts. Because I had no pockets, I tucked my phone into the waistband of my shorts. I didn't notice my phone had slipped until the lawnmower started making an awful sound. FML
Today, I was out jogging. As I took a rest to have a drink of water, a car pulled onto the sidewalk and bumped into me. Not just any car; my dad's car. He then drove away. FML
What are the chances?
Today, I forgot my phone on the roof of my car. I took a 30 minute drive from my friend's city to my city. I got on to my driveway, surprised to see my phone still there. Thinking I'm really lucky, I pick up my phone. Then, I trip over a pebble, cracking my phone in the process. FML
Today, after dropping my phone in the toilet, I left it dismantled outside in my backyard to dry hoping it could be saved. I forgot about the phone as well as the sprinklers that were scheduled to go off. FML
So frustrating!
Today, I left my phone on the roof of my car after pumping gas. I drove off, and it wasn't until I heard a thud that I realized what had happened. Now my phone has a gash in the screen, and it's receiving angry texts from my girlfriend that I can't answer. FML
Memory man
Today, my dad let me use his phone. Five minutes later, he had my mom call it because he thought he'd lost it. FML
Today, I put my phone on top the car while putting my daughter in her car seat. Told myself not to forget it. Then I drove away, and it flew off the top of the car on the freeway. It got ran over. FML
Offroading
Today, my dad took my phone away because I "had to be texting while driving in order to wreck my car." I was too ashamed to tell him that a huge bug flew into my face causing me to veer off the road and into a brick mailbox. FML
Today, my phone died. I plugged it in to charge and then went out to run some errands. When I returned, my phone was no where to be found, and our shovel was on the floor, muddy and wet. I then discovered my 6-year old son had buried my "dead" 200$ palmpilot because he had felt sorry for me. FML
Numb
Today, I noticed that my mom had left the house without her cell phone. I called her phone to let her know she forgot it. FML

Did he start up the lawn mower as you went inside or was he already mowing the lawn

You couldn't hear him starting the mower/using the mower? I mean, it's not like the things have stealth-mode or something, they're pretty loud.

So not only is the cell phone ruined, but the lawn mower might be ruined as well. Good job. This is some Dennis-the-Menace level shit...

I hope your dad made you sharpen the blades on the mower, whether they needed it or not.

While yes, this sucks. I doubt your dad saw it, and if your dad was mowing the lawn you probably should have taken it with you.

Did you tell your dad that you left your phone in the path of the mower or was he magically meant to know everything you do?

Better hope your phone had insurance on it

Jesus, is the lawn mower okay?

Why the hell would you leave it on the grass in the first place? It could get stepped on, peed on by a dog, or in your case, hit by a lawn mower. You should have taken it with you back inside.

How hard is it to just take your phone with you? It's pretty stupid to leave valuables unattended outside even if just for a minute or two. YDI.

How hard is it to just put your phone in your pocket...?
