Today, I learned that not texting my girlfriend for two days is considered dumping her, and is ample reason to screw other men. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Check yourself before you wreck yourself
Today, I dumped my girlfriend because she frequently wouldn't answer my texts or phone calls, and not call or message back for days. I felt that bringing it up made me a control freak. I couldn't take it anymore. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me and threw all my stuff out into the yard because she caught me "texting another woman". Guess it didn't matter to her that the contact name was "Mom". FML
Today, this guy I was seeing dumped me for "bombarding" him with text messages. I'd sent him one text asking if he was okay, after he stood me up 2 nights in a row. FML
It's for the best
Today, my girlfriend had someone else dump me via text message. I knew it wasn't her because for once I wasn't being viciously insulted, and it wasn't written as if an illiterate baboon had taken a shit all over her keypad. I can't even feel happy about being rid of her. FML
Today, my girlfriend and I broke up. The reason? She slept with four men while I was two weeks away visiting my brother. She told me it was because she missed me so much. FML
Unreasonable
Today, my girlfriend accused me of cheating, all because I don't text her throughout the day. Last week she told me she would get fired if she was caught reading texts at work, and to stop texting her during her work hours. FML
Today, my girlfriend dumped me for another guy by text. I felt so betrayed, I stupidly tried to hurt her by replying that I'd been cheating on her all along with a hot babe. Turned out the dumping text was actually a prank by her friend. Now I'm single and everyone thinks I'm a cheater. FML
Today, I got dumped during sex. FML
Today, I got a text from my girlfriend saying she needed more phone credit, so I bought her more and got another message saying "Great, now I have enough credit for this..." as she spelled out a three page message breaking up with me. Yes, I paid for her to break up with me via text. FML
Today, I sent my girlfriend a text this morning saying I love you. I rarely do this and instead of receiving the same message back, I got a message from my girlfriend accusing me of meaning to send it to someone else and dumped me. FML

Well, this depends, did you just not text or completely cease communication for no reason? She's still overreacting, but I might be a little peeved too, if my boyfriend dropped off the planet with no explanation for two days.

Is there any reason for the lack of contact? Had you been fighting before? This needs follow up

honestly with how popular ghosting is, I don't blame her. I am not the type to linger though. if I try to talk to you and you don't respond for 2 days then you can kiss my butt. I'll have moved on immediately and wouldn't think twice about you. if he needed personal space then he shouldve said something. and depending on how long they've been dating it could be a not so surprising move. if my bf stopped talking to me today I'd think he was injured and I'd freak out, because we've been together for 3 years. after a month or so of dating though... eh. bye!

Uhhh yeah...? Why would you not talk to her?

Every person who say they'd get mad too if their lover didn't talk to them for a day or two, guys, don't be so clingy, it's dating, not a fusion, you don't need to be stuck to each other or on the phone every day. I've been dating my boyfriend for 5 years with sometimes, periods of up to 5 days not texting each other mostly because of his job. We are still perfectly fine and i don't get mad at him for that, he's often very tired and i'm not going to keep him up just because "i'm his girlfriend and he should make time to talk to me." All the people here are grown up, stop acting like a bunch of 5 years old. People having busy lifestyles, families, friends and sometimes just nothing interesting to tell. Being in a relationship is supposed to make two people happy, it never meant "talk to each other all the time, ignore your family, live your friends and quit your job."

Leave* just noticed that mistake.

There are 24 hours in a day, taking 2 seconds to let your SO know that you're thinking of them can mean the world to them. As silly as it may seem to you, that doesn't make them clingy.

Yes it does, every relationship i've been in where the guy did that lasted less that 2 weeks, because at first it's cute, then it quickly becomes extremely annoying. You just end up getting to a point where you're sick of it, where the closest you get to a conversation look like "sorry i'm busy" or "hey what's up i'm good i love you too". And then cry about it like all these people who ask "how could our relationship come to this ???" Well it came to this because you're clingy as hell, to the point of thinking it's absolutely necessary to text each other every ******* day. People wonder why relationships these days don't last ? Stop wondering, you got your answer. You start dating okay everything is great and then the guy starts texting you every day, it takes 2 seconds yes, "hi baby" "i'm thinking of you" "i love you have a good day" and every day it goes "hi" "me too" "i love you too" and it become really annoying to HAVE to do that everyday because of course if you don't reply you get the whole "you don't care about me". So times goes on and every day it "i'm busy" "i can't talk right now" "aww" "ok" "yeah me too", wow great relationship goals. If i want to get the very same thing every time we meet up and have him stuck to me displaying affection all the time and not able to spend a day without any contact with me, i have a dog who already does it. When i'm in a relationship however i expect a man, not a dog.

I have been in a happy relationship for almost 15 years now. I have talked to my husband every single day since we met, even if it is a 2 second hello, or good night, or I love you. It's really not hard, and if you find an I love you text annoying, you have bigger issues. I know life gets busy, but that is the wonder of technology, and texting. So that if its been a busy day, and you can't talk to your SO, you can take 2 seconds out of your existence to make them smile.
MandieL 27
And if that is your every day conversation as well, then you have way bigger relationship issues. Communication is a huge part of a relationship, and one of the most important. If you can not even text a simple good night at the end of a busy day... I just really don't see the issue, and is no way a single text in a day clingy. But I guess ultimately it depends on you, your SO, and your relationship. So I'm going to agree to disagree with you, and wish you the best in whatever relationship you deem worthy of yourself.

Correct me if I'm wrong O.P I'm just assuming but what if he cheated on her....... I'm js it's possible. But it's also possible you were busy tired just didn't want to talk or maybe she is clincially insane.
PennyLane27 32
Even IF he cheated on her first, her cheating on him isn't exactly a solution.

It seems to be perfectly clear that you were on a break.

Try texting her back she'll probably answer.
