Today, this guy I was seeing dumped me for "bombarding" him with text messages. I'd sent him one text asking if he was okay, after he stood me up 2 nights in a row. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, a guy I went on one date with asked me out again via text. Being honest, I texted back, politely saying that he was a good guy but I wasn't really interested. He came over to my house, screaming about how awful I was for "text message breaking up with him" and then cracked my windshield. FML
Check yourself before you wreck yourself
Today, I dumped my girlfriend because she frequently wouldn't answer my texts or phone calls, and not call or message back for days. I felt that bringing it up made me a control freak. I couldn't take it anymore. FML

Today, the person I was seeing dumped me over text because I “cared too much” and it gave them anxiety. FML
Today, my boyfriend dumped me by text at 1:30 am because he didn't want to give me "the dread of answering a phone call." When I asked him for an explanation, his reply was, "For what?" FML
Bizarre love triangle
Today, I got a message from a former very close friend (with benefits) after telling him this morning that I couldn't talk to him anymore because I felt pressured to conform to his expectations in a way that hurt me. He wanted to tell me he broke up with the girl he abandoned things with me for. I'm not responding. FML
Today, I broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years because I was tired of his childishness and anger, so he decided to send me 540 random text messages of scrambled letters in order to mess up my phone as well, as make me pay 20 cents for each message. FML
Ghost
Today, I texted the guy I went out with last night. He'd told me he’d text me when he got home, but he never did. Cracking a joke, I asked him if he was homeless or something, since he broke his word. He replied, “No, I’m just not that into you. Have a nice life.” FML
Today, I asked my friend to stop texting me, because I'm on a limited plan and didn't want to go over my limit. She responded by getting a group of her friends to text bomb me. I got well over a hundred one-word texts. FML
Today, I sent my girlfriend a text this morning saying I love you. I rarely do this and instead of receiving the same message back, I got a message from my girlfriend accusing me of meaning to send it to someone else and dumped me. FML
Today, I was dumped via text halfway through my 8-hour bar shift. I had to deal with my co-workers and customers asking me how my vacation with my now-ex was for the next 4 hours. FML

If he calls you in a couple of days and is "willing to give you another chance," hang up and block his number.

I don't see how what he did could be considered as him being abusive. It sounds to me like he was a jerk that wasn't interested in being with op. He didn't show up to the dates (probably figured she'd take the hint and never call again) then she sent a text and he used it as an excuse to dump her because he's the type of jerk that feels he needs an excuse, and one where the blame lies on her so nothing's his fault. Definitely a jerk that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, but I don't see how you can claim he'd probably be abusive after this one FML. Maybe I'm missing something in the FML, but I feel like people throw that word around way to lightly and any guy that's a jerk or mean can now be labeled as abusive, which is a pretty serious accusation in my book.

I agree, it sounds like he just doesn't like OP. But if he calls again and asks to hang out, then it's more of a sign that he would be abusive. It's the controlling factor. Abusive people usually want everything don on their terms, so they can text you whenever but you can't text them. Although a lot of the time, abusive people are very nice and charismatic at the beginning of the relationship. But I didn't get an abusive vibe from the fml, just an uninterested one.

Yeah, be obviously has something else going on there. Probably just looking for a reason to dump you. Smh. Don't even give him the time of day if he comes to his senses. Standing you up twice? he can go to hell.

Make sure he hears you laugh before you hang up though. That step is crucial!

No, organise a date and don't turn up

Hahah sounds like a guy I was involved with who stopped talking to me and I texted him first once, because I even had a weird thing about not texting first at the time, and he told a mutual friend I just texted him way too much. So ridiculous, onto the next one OP!

you're better off.

Tell him you had one of your girlfriends join, hoping for a threesome on both occasions, but he never showed up.

Anyone who stands you up is not worth your time. Yes, emergencies can happen, but thare didn't seem to be the case here. Rejection hurts, but you're better off.

At least he's good with vocabulary. "Bombarded", very elaborate, no?
