Today, I got robbed at the gas station I work at. After only getting $38 dollars out the register, the guy then stole my purse. It had my rent money in it. FML

Today, a couple came into the gas station where I work to ask for directions. While I was giving the woman directions (and even writing them down to be as helpful as possible), the man stole my wallet out of my purse that was sitting on the other end of the counter behind a display. FML
Today, I was robbed while working overnight at the gas station. They demanded I give them all the cash in the register. Seeing they were armed, I was reduced to tears and complied. They mocked me and took a video with their cellphone. When I told my boss, he promptly fired me for not “fighting back.” FML
Today, I was standing in the gas station, pulling out my wallet to pay the $100 of gas I just filled my car with. I opened my wallet and found a note saying "borrowed money for food". FML
Today, I was robbed while recovering from a robbery. FML
Today, the police called because someone had turned in my wallet that was stolen. I happily drove home only to find that my house had been robbed and ransacked. FML
Today, I got mugged. I also got an extra kick in the face for not having money in my wallet. FML

Today, since it's company policy, I had to go to the back of my small store to retrieve an item for a customer, even though I was working by myself. I came back to find that since she couldn't get into the cash register, she found and stole my purse instead. FML
Today, I used a public bathroom. I hung my purse up on the hook on the door. Two minutes later, a hand reaches over the door and steals my purse. I got robbed while taking a crap. FML

YDI completely for having that much cash on you at work! though nobody deserves being robbed it is entirely your fault you lost your rent. if you absolutely must carry it you don't keep it anywhere near customers. it should be locked up in the back office.

That really sucks. But honestly, why would you carry your rent money with you? I have to pay my rent ii n cash too but there's no way in Hell I'm carrying around $900 in my purse.

2 things: 1. your purse must have been in sight for him to ask about it 2. why would you pay rent in cash when you can use checks which also serves as a receipt. YDI!
