Today, I got into a car accident. The other driver was going so fast that when we hit, our cars positioned themselves to make it look like it was all my fault. He keeps blaming me for everything and the position of the cars doesn't help. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I got into a car accident that was my fault. The other driver was my professor. FML
Today, I was in a car accident. After screaming at the woman for running into me, I got in my car and drove off. As I was driving away, I was staring her down when I ended up rear-ending the person in front of me. FML
Road safety
Today, while driving to work, some asshole stopped sharply on the 60 mph highway because he almost hit the car in front of him. Even with maintaining my distance, and slamming on the brakes, I still ruined the front end of my car on his dented bumper. I haven't even had the car for a year, and I'm still the one at fault. FML
Rollin'
Today, I was driving home when a guy crashed into me from behind. I got out of my car and told him that I was going to call the cops. He then asked me if we could move to a corner because we were blocking the way, so we then got back in to move. I looked in the mirror to see him driving off. FML
Today, while at a stop light, I was rear-ended by a car behind me. The guy got angry at me, because according to him, I should've known that his car has poor braking distance, and so I should've moved forward a few more feet to compensate. FML
Enabling
Today, I let my boyfriend drive my car, knowing that he doesn't have a license. While he was out, he ran a stop sign, collided with another vehicle, and then left the scene of the accident. Then he lied to me about how the accident happened so I "wouldn't be so upset." FML
Today, I rear-ended a car while I was texting about the accident ahead which was causing all the traffic. FML
Today, I decided to be a good driver and not run through the yellow light. As soon as I stopped my car another came and rear-ended me. The guy told me to go in the parking lot so we can exchange information. So I drove into the parking lot, I turned my head and watched him drive away. FML
Goddammit
Today, while arguing with my boyfriend about how I wasn't a bad driver and could parallel park, I thought it would be easier to just let him do it. Unfortunately, while getting out of the car to switch seats, I forgot to take the car out of drive and it ran into the car in front of us. He was right. FML
Today, a car backed into mine. I thought that was pretty bad, until another car backed into me right after I'd finished taking the first guy's info. FML

You should explain what happened because usually the actions leading up to the accident can help explain what happened. Also there may be marks on the pavement to explain tire movement.

I hate people that can't take responsibility for their actions.

I didn't just say that.

Unfortunately, when it involves things like money and insurance, people tend to shy away from doing so. Sad, but true. On a side note, I had a head-on collision in which a guy drove into oncoming traffic and nearly plowed his Dodge Ram's wheels into the windshield of my Honda Civic. If either of us was going any faster, I would be dead. Fortunately (and rightfully), they ruled it in my favor.

Tbh, that doesn't seem like a hard judgement to make, if he was driving in the wrong lane.

Of course not. But the guy was still making excuses. Fortunately, he apologized.

The problem is, in an accident, usually both parties genuinely think they were in the right. I mean unless it's something obvious like someone was texting on their phone or crossed lanes or something. I just hate how if you're in an accident both people get so angry and want to rip each other's heads off. It's called an "accident" for a reason. It's not like anybody wants to break their car and endanger anybody. Again, unless someone was being blatantly stupid. People just go into a rage sometimes. And especially if there were road conditions that caused it like ice or something, then even more reason why it's called an accident.

Were there no witnesses?

Maybe none willing to stay, unfortunately.

If it's an accident where no one was hurt then people don't generally stop. They don't just wait around to wait for the police and tell them what they saw. Unfortunately.

I have explained to the cops but it isn't up to the policemen to lay judgement. It's the job of the insurance companies to fight it out to see who's to blame. Thanks for the advice
Brandi_Faith 34
The police might not have a say in where the blame lies, but their report is used as evidence in the insurance case I assume. So if the report says basically says it's the other guys fault, then they can't really go against that. Although I assume there are a lot of cases where the police can't tell who was in the wrong, so there would be no blame laid anywhere.

They should make those mandatory in the U.S.

Check to see if there were any traffic cameras in the area, and then moonwalk away in glory.

I'm assuming that means he was losing control of the car? I'm not sure how that could happen otherwise

Sure
