Today, I accidentally crashed my mom's car into my dad's car. FML
Today, while in the car with my mom, she gave me a lecture about how bad of a driver I am. During that process she ran a red light and hit a car. FML
Today, I wrecked my car because my mom texted me, telling me not to text and drive. FML
Today, I got in a car accident on the way to the DMV to take my drivers test. FML
Today, I rear-ended a car while I was texting about the accident ahead which was causing all the traffic. FML
Today, I was in a car accident. When I came home, I told my mom. She just got angry with me, blamed me for it, and didn't even ask if I was OK. FML
Today, my mother and I almost got driven off the highway by an SUV because we couldn't speed more than we were already. She had a major car accident by a drunk driver in the past, and she was inconsolable after this. We weren't able to get their license plate. FML
Today, I illicitly borrowed my dad's car to go to the store, but crashed into my mom's car as she and dad were returning from my grandma's house. Both cars are totalled, my mom is in hospital with a broken collarbone, and I realised dads really can make steam come out their ears if they’re really mad. FML
Today, as I was driving in reverse, I hit my boyfriend's mom's car. I met her for the first time while giving her my information. FML
Today, my mom drove my car and had to make a U-turn on a narrow street. Instead of slowing down, she sped up to turn, running off the road and denting my car. To make things worse, she blamed me for not giving her good directions, then followed that up with, "It's not that bad." FML

Frankly speaking what her mom did was irresponsible. And very dangerous. There are too many accidents caused by people who text and view their mobiles while driving, because they can't pull over and do all of that while on the side of the road or completely parked. Good luck and safe driving.

5- it seems the older generation does more texting and driving (or using social media in this case) than the younger drivers. My own parents are a perfect example of that.

It's because they think some magic amount of experience will give them the ability to simultaneously steer a motor vehicle and post on instagram. Guys, if you can hardly pay attention to stuff while you're walking and posting, what makes you think controlling a metal death trap at 45 mph and posting would be any easier?
