Today, I got an early Valentine's day card. My boyfriend and I recently broke up, and my hopes shot up thinking it might be from him. It wasn't. It was from my parents. FML

Today, I was in class when someone came in with a rose for me. My teacher made me read the card aloud: "I'm breaking up with you, happy Valentine's." It was from my boyfriend. FML
Today, the only card I got for Valentine's Day was in my mother's handwriting, and she posted it through the front door herself. She still won't admit it's from her. FML
Today, I got a rose from my boyfriend. The card read, "It's over." FML
Today, I got an email saying the gift I'd ordered for my boyfriend of three years had been sent. I ordered it a couple of days ago because I thought he needed cheering up. I guess he found a better way of doing so himself; he broke up with me yesterday. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me through my birthday card. FML
Today, I got flowers sent to my work, I happily opened them in front of my co-workers thinking they were from my crush, I open the card to see "Love you, from mom". My mother thinks my love life is so pathetic, thats she needs to send me flowers to cheer me up. FML
Today, I confronted my boyfriend after he received a text with a bunch of hearts on it. After arguing, turns out it was from me. FML
Today, my Mom came to pay me a short visit at college. She handed me some flowers, which were a Valentine's Day gift, because she "figured I wouldn't be getting any from anyone else this year." FML
Today, the only person to wish me a Happy Valentine's day was a wrong number calling my cell phone. FML
Today, I pointed out to my boyfriend how Valentine's day, my birthday, and our one-year anniversary were all coming up in the next few weeks. He then promptly broke up with me. FML

Instead of moaning like a little bitch you should be happy that at least someone in your life cares about you. You should be thankful that your parents love you enough to give you something for Valentines.

Moaning like a little bitch? On FML? Wut? Anyways, it said recent break up, and she got her hopes up for valentines card. It implies OP was dumped, not that she dumped him or they both broke up on equal terms. So "moaning like a little bitch" like you said, is perfectly acceptable for her because it shows that she still has feelings for her boyfriend, and got her hopes up over that card. It's not about how "op's parents love her", it's about HER FEELINGS. Try to be less apathetic, will you?

Valentines Day is over rated. Guys are expected to do sooo much but women never have to repay the favor. Wheres the guys holiday???? 364 days out of the year worshiping the women should met us ONE FREAKING DAY

A handmade chocolate is usually preferred by the receiver, because it is a sign that the receiving male is the girl's "only one".
