Today, the only card I got for Valentine's Day was in my mother's handwriting, and she posted it through the front door herself. She still won't admit it's from her. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I got an early Valentine's day card. My boyfriend and I recently broke up, and my hopes shot up thinking it might be from him. It wasn't. It was from my parents. FML
Today, my Mom came to pay me a short visit at college. She handed me some flowers, which were a Valentine's Day gift, because she "figured I wouldn't be getting any from anyone else this year." FML
Today, I got flowers sent to my work, I happily opened them in front of my co-workers thinking they were from my crush, I open the card to see "Love you, from mom". My mother thinks my love life is so pathetic, thats she needs to send me flowers to cheer me up. FML
Today, I got a birthday card from my parents. It was my sister's from earlier in the year. They scratched out her name and wrote mine underneath. FML
Today, I was in a terrific mood after finding a bouquet of beautiful flowers on my doorstep when I came home. That is, until I recognised the handwriting of my "secret admirer" was the same as my mother's. FML
Today, I got a reply to my Valentine's Day card that I sent to my girlfriend. I'll get the address right next time because her neighbor is really creeping me out now. FML
It's the thought that counts, right?
Today, I was once again sent tons of Mother's Day cards in the mail, even though my son died years ago and I've told people that I'm not a mother anymore. FML
Thanks, I guess…
Today, it was my birthday and everyone in the office chipped in to buy me a card, and nothing but a card. It had a pre-written message on it and a space to write "Love, *insert name*" where everyone signed their names. The "Love" was crossed out and replaced with "From". FML
Today, my grandma sent me a Valentine's Day card. For years she's been hinting at me to lose weight. The card: a picture of cookies on the front and a gym membership inside. FML
Today, while at the office, a surprise Valentine's gift arrived for me, the first I've ever received. It was a box of heart-shaped cookies. From my mother. I'm 39. FML

At least OP got a card. And if it's not from her mom, it could be a secret admirer.

Me? Thank you sir/madame for agreeing with me. You see, this whole time i've been telling everyone about me inventing the lightbulb, the AR-15, and the iPod. No one believed me, everyone thought I was crazy. Thank you once again for agreeing with me. Now I must share the secrets of my life and my newly found religion: Cynicalism. No turning back now. If you do, you will die a painful death...

Nice bloodhound gang reference

Maybe it's from the Easter Bunny, or Santa, or Sasquatch, or the World Series Champion Chicago Cubs, or any other fictional character.

Damn it I want to hate you right now for the cubs reference but I gotta admit it was funny

Seriously, that's what moms are for. My grandparents always gave me a box of chocolate for valentines day. But this year I'm across the country from my family, so I'm not getting anything. Instead of complaining, op should be happy.

your mom will always love you. mine lives pretty far away, so I only get to see her once or twice a year. you're lucky, OP... I wish I could see mine more often.

Sad story bro

Your secret admirer probably asked your mom to write the card for him. Too bad your mysterious lover is a bit of a wuss.
