Today, I found out my ex-boyfriend is currently dating a girl who lives in Korea. We broke up because I was moving to a different part of the city for college and he thought the distance would be "too much." FML
Today, my fiancé and I just moved into our first apartment together. Our neighbor across the hall? My ex-boyfriend who I've had to file three separate restraining orders on. FML
Today, I found out that my ex-girlfriend got engaged to a coworker. I got her the job. FML
Today, I found out that my girlfriend is trying to get her ex-boyfriend to move up here. FML
Today, I found out that after working in the same office for five years, I now work with three of my husband's ex-girlfriends. FML
Today, I found out that my fiancé is going to be deployed on our wedding day. FML

I don't think it was a gay couple. She said her fiance was in a long distance relationship with his ex (I'm assuming that since they're engaged, OP and her fiance live close to each other and not far away, so the ex wouldn't live on the same island). I think she was saying that her fiance is always around so there's really no way to avoid him.
