Today, I finally got the courage to tell the guy I liked how I felt by making him a mix CD. Confident, I gave it to him. After class, I went to the trash can to throw some paper away. I saw my mix CD in the trash. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Mixtapes are my love language
Today, at college, the weird guy who stares at me every day came over, said, "I've made you a mixtape," then handed me an old, empty Queen's Greatest Hits CD case and scuttled off. FML
No thanks
Today, I worked up the courage to confess my feelings to this girl I'm crazy about. I even wrote and recorded a song for her. Instead of listening to it, she gave it to her ex-boyfriend, who responded to my heartfelt words by headbutting me. FML
Today, I made my mom a mix CD for her car. It took me ages to find just the right songs that would be perfect for her. When I played it for her in the car, she took it out and threw it out of the window. FML
Today, I worked up the courage to give a guy my number. I wrote it down on a piece of paper, tore it in half and gave it to him. Later, I noticed I'd given him the wrong, blank half. FML
Today, I was planning to ask a guy at school out since I had mustered up the confidence to finally tell him how I really felt. I ended up puking on him. FML
Nice try
Today, I told the guy I like to listen to a song that expressed how I felt about him. When he was done, I asked what he thought about it. He said it made him realize that his ex was the love of his life and that he wants to go back to her. FML
Today, I finally got the courage to confess my feelings to the guy I have loved for a year now in a long note. He called half an hour later and said, "I'm not going to read this crap, just tell me what it says". FML
Today, I wrote my boyfriend a love letter during class and told him to read it when he got home. He texted me later asking me why I gave him my school assignment. I must have handed the love letter in to my teacher. FML
Today, I didn't have the courage to tell the guy who likes me that I only thought of him as a friend, so I asked my best friend to do it for me. It turns out that her way of doing this is telling him to "Fuck off" and then punching him in the face. FML
Today, I finally had the guts to tell my best friend that I like him more than just as a friend. I was about to tell him when he excitedly told me that he met the love of his life yesterday. FML

if you recycled that paper you never would have seen that.

How would a CD of random songs you think he might like be a good way to say that you like him? You could just, I don't know, say it.

I feel as though that would be kinda immature, why not just tell him, then he woulda just told you, that you're not his type over throwing away a CD that costs money, but I think you are probably still in middle school because mixed CDs professing your love for someone is very middle school.

Awww I think that making a cd for someone is really cute. It shows that you like music and that you know them well enough to know what they like and that you think of them enough to spend the time to make a cd for them. I'm sorry he responded that way, I love it when my girlfriend makes me cd's but that's something that may seem creepy if you haven't already told him you like him.And to all the jerks out there saying how it's immature or "middle-school worthy" I'm a junior, 17, and I think that making a cd for someone is great.

The guy is a douche, but the mixed tape/mixed CD approach has never worked in the history of dating. Ever.

^yeah, but also, dudes don't like love songs unless they are SEVERELY gay. they listen to metallica, iron maiden, five fingered death punch, etc, not Hannah montana or Victoria justice. unless maybe it was a music video of naked girls fingering eachother. That's it.

five **finger** not fingered xD

I thought the exact same thing...and maybe he did like her until she handed him the cd...then he figured she was so out of touch with technology that she probably didn't have a decent cellphone so he could call her...
