Today, I finally got the courage to tell the guy I liked how I felt by making him a mix CD. Confident, I gave it to him. After class, I went to the trash can to throw some paper away. I saw my mix CD in the trash. FML

Today, at college, the weird guy who stares at me every day came over, said, "I've made you a mixtape," then handed me an old, empty Queen's Greatest Hits CD case and scuttled off. FML
Today, I worked up the courage to confess my feelings to this girl I'm crazy about. I even wrote and recorded a song for her. Instead of listening to it, she gave it to her ex-boyfriend, who responded to my heartfelt words by headbutting me. FML
Today, I made my mom a mix CD for her car. It took me ages to find just the right songs that would be perfect for her. When I played it for her in the car, she took it out and threw it out of the window. FML
Today, I worked up the courage to give a guy my number. I wrote it down on a piece of paper, tore it in half and gave it to him. Later, I noticed I'd given him the wrong, blank half. FML
Today, I was planning to ask a guy at school out since I had mustered up the confidence to finally tell him how I really felt. I ended up puking on him. FML
Today, I told the guy I like to listen to a song that expressed how I felt about him. When he was done, I asked what he thought about it. He said it made him realize that his ex was the love of his life and that he wants to go back to her. FML
Today, I finally got the courage to confess my feelings to the guy I have loved for a year now in a long note. He called half an hour later and said, "I'm not going to read this crap, just tell me what it says". FML
Today, I wrote my boyfriend a love letter during class and told him to read it when he got home. He texted me later asking me why I gave him my school assignment. I must have handed the love letter in to my teacher. FML
Today, I didn't have the courage to tell the guy who likes me that I only thought of him as a friend, so I asked my best friend to do it for me. It turns out that her way of doing this is telling him to "Fuck off" and then punching him in the face. FML
Today, I finally had the guts to tell my best friend that I like him more than just as a friend. I was about to tell him when he excitedly told me that he met the love of his life yesterday. FML

'A' for effort OP. It takes a lot of courage to do something like that, but get used to rejection if you are just a bit socially retarded. You've got to learn to play the game. In my experience, girls always say they want a guy who's honest, kind, courageous, fun, and loyal - yet even if they encounter such a guy, if all he has to say is, "You're cute" and "I like you" they still run away screaming. No matter what anyone says, if you have a crush on someone it's highly unlikely they feel the same way. Romance doesn't just spawn out of thin air. You have to court your intended. Start a conversation with them. Get to know them, and let them get to know you. Feelings will come. Best of luck with your next crush!

Okay, even though a mixed cd is a bit cliche, it's still really harsh. I hope you get over him and find someone better :) There are enough guys out there that will enjoy such a nice gesture. I would love it if someone gave me a mixed cd (although a mixed tape would be more awesome) and said he/she like me. (I'm a girl though...)
