Today, I finally figured out why my 5 year-old daughter washes her hair every day. It's because she doesn't want to have "yucky greasy hair like her mommy." FML

Today, I walked in on my daughter trying to blow-dry the sweat off her armpits instead of showering. FML
Today, my daughter continues to have acne breakouts. She’s no longer a teenager, which means she isn’t washing her face. I can’t believe I raised someone who ignores her hygiene to this point. FML
Today, I explained to my teenage daughter that enough was enough and she needed to start shaving her armpits again, stating it was unladylike and unsanitary. Her only response was, "If it's so unsanitary, why don't you make my brother do it?" I give up. FML
Today, I found out that my mom uses my incredibly expensive conditioner to wash her two dogs every single weekend. No wonder they smell so good. FML
Today, I realized I've been using conditioner instead of shampoo for the last month. I was wondering why my hair never felt clean but always smelled great. Now I have to explain to my friends that my new "shampoo routine" was actually just expensive conditioner and ignorance. FML
Today, my mom was proud for making a positive change in her life. The change in question? She now throws away the smelly hair she combs out of the dog, instead of keeping it for unspecified later use. FML
Today, for the first time ever, I was able to have a good hair day without blow drying it or using product. Or so I thought. The first words my mom spoke to me when I came downstairs were “Go fix your hair.” FML
Today, I got up extra early to curl my hair because I wanted to look nice at school for a change. After coming downstairs my mom yells at me and says, "See, when you don't wake up on time your hair looks like that. You could have at least combed it!" FML
Today, I found out the crappy shampoo I've been borrowing from my girlfriend is actually "feminine wash." FML
Today, my step-dad explained to me why he doesn't need to wash his body. He condescendingly said, "Well when you shampoo your hair, the soap runs down your body and cleans everything." He's 37 years-old. FML

Yeah, even if you aren't washing it with shampoo everyday you should at least be showering and rinsing it out everyday. That being said, do you use a lot of products in your hair? If that's the case then shampoo those out daily and maybe tone it down some if it looks a little slimy, you don't want 80's hair.

If your 5 year old can identify greasy hair, you probably need to think about washing it more frequently.

That's disgusting. Even if you are extremely careful, your hair will get dirty throughout the day and probably your head will smell. Just wash your freaking hair!

Washing your hair everyday isn't usually recommended since it strips your hair of its natural oils. I hear it can cause your hair to get greasier faster because your oil glands sort of go on overdrive and produce more oil to compensate for the loss. I shower everyday but wash my hair every other day. For those days in between washing, when your hair starts to get oily, dry shampoo helps a lot! It soaks up the oil so your hair looks fresh again.
