Today, I explained to my teenage daughter that enough was enough and she needed to start shaving her armpits again, stating it was unladylike and unsanitary. Her only response was, "If it's so unsanitary, why don't you make my brother do it?" I give up. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my daughter asked me to get her razors. When my 19-year-old son saw them he asked what they were for, to which my daughter replied, "For my armpits." My son then said, "Girls don't grow armpit hair." FML
Today, for the third time, I had to tell my stepfather to stop using my razor. It seems when I told him last time that I use it on my armpits, that only encouraged the behaviour. FML
Today, I watched as my girlfriend painfully plucked her eyebrows for half an hour. She is willing to do this, but not shave her armpits on a regular basis. FML
Today, I had to explain to my boyfriend that yes, girls do get armpit hair, we just have to shave it. FML
Today, I came across one of the pitfalls of having open discussions with my 15-year-old son when he asked me how to shave his pubes. FML
Today, I had to teach my younger brother to shave with a regular disposable razor because our dad uses an electric one and I'm the only other person in the family with enough facial hair to know how to use a razor. I probably would have been proud if I wasn't a girl. FML
Today, I walked in on my daughter trying to blow-dry the sweat off her armpits instead of showering. FML
Today, my daughter continues to have acne breakouts. She’s no longer a teenager, which means she isn’t washing her face. I can’t believe I raised someone who ignores her hygiene to this point. FML
Today, my mother refused to talk to me because I wouldn't let her use my deodorant stick. FML
Today, my boyfriend asked me why girls don't have armpit hair. FML

When the world wars killed a huge proportion of the men, Gillette saw their profits tank. So they started an advertising campaign to sell razors to women. That's where the whole 'body hair is unhygienic and unladylike' started. You've been spouting ancient marketing crap like it's gospel and shaming your daughter for just freely being herself. Stop it. Your daughter is right. Nothing wrong with girls or women choosing to not shave their armpits. It's not in the least bit unsanitary and actually helps with perspiration. And screw this "unladylike" BS -- it ain't the 50s anymore

I mean, it's her choice, and many women in other parts of the world don't shave, but I can't fathom why a woman would want harry pits... or any other part that isn't her head. (shudder)
