Today, I challenged my husband to look after our twins by himself all day, like I normally do. When I got home, both babies had on clean nappies and clothes, dinner was cooked, the house was spotless, and three loads of washing were done. Smug bastard. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Assumptions
Today, I left my husband in charge of the house for a day. When I returned, I saw him gaming through the window, so I stormed in and yelled at him. Then, my eyes adjusted, and I saw the neatly folded laundry, clean kitchen, vacuumed rugs, and my son, who was asleep until I woke him. Whoops. FML
You OK, hun?
Today, my husband asked what I’d done all day. I took it as a criticism and was about to chew his head off about not appreciating all I do, when I took a look at myself still in pyjamas, the filthy house, dirty plates, and unwashed laundry and realised I’ve done fuck all for weeks. I’m a bad wife. FML
Clean freak
Today, at home, I always do my share of the chores. I just got back from a business trip and it turns out that I actually do ALL the chores. My wife was alone for 9 days, the kitchen was a in state, dirty laundry everywhere, cat litter box overflowing onto the floor, and the bathroom was fucking disgusting. FML
Baby love
Today, I'm working while my husband is the stay at home parent. The house is spotless, our baby girl is happy, and he's never been happier. When I stayed at home, I could never keep the house tidy, and she cried constantly. How does he do it? No matter how we do it, I'm always the one who's tired and miserable. FML
Self-centered
Today, I asked my SO for help with just the laundry, which translated into him only washing his clothes. We're married with multiple kids, and I currently work 2 jobs. FML
Today, my husband decided he needs to be thanked after every time he changes our daughter's diaper; if not he throws a temper tantrum. Now I have two babies to deal with. FML
Pull your weight
Today, we're both working parents. My husband gave a lecture about "mother's duties" and "dad's duties". Why? Because I asked him to get our toddler ready for school and change our son's diaper as I was down with severe COVID. For just one day, I asked him to do a part of my tasks. It's 2022, and I earn more than him. FML
Today, I spent my day alone while my parents and siblings were at school and work. Trying to be helpful, I cleaned out the fridge, did 5 loads of laundry, worked outside, fed the pets, and made dinner for the entire family. The evening was spent hearing complaints about how wrong I did everything. FML
Today, my boyfriend did the washing as an attempt to help me. Not only are all my clothes now pink, he refuses to do the dishes, vacuuming, bathroom, ironing etc., as he has done "plenty." FML
Help out or get out
Today, I had an very long day at work. I also had to take my daughter to the dentist and ballet class. Later, my 3 year-old son was having a diarrhoea, needing care, yet I pulled myself up, cooked, fed, read, cleaned the whole house except the kids' bedroom. My brother-in-law came, looked only at that and judged me horribly. FML

Gee, I'm sorry to hear that. Still, it's not to late to dump him and find the incompetent deadbeat of your dreams.

To be fair, having to do that for one day is doable. Having to do it constantly is exhausting.

Now leave him to do it for a month, one day is easy compared to every day.

So sorry to hear your husband isn’t completely incompetent. Maybe you should divorce him and find the real deadbeat that you’ve always wanted

Sweetheart anyone can make it look easy for one day. A freaking teenager can make it look easy. But the fact remains that children react to everything differently in the presence of the mother than they do the father; that does NOT make him the superior parent. But if he wants to switch places, then polish your resume and put yourself out there. You're not likely to make as much as he did, even in the same field, so he'll have to economise. And make dinner and all the other meals. And schedule repairs. And do errands for you that you won't have time for because you're working. There's a lot more to being a mother than having a couple of freshly diapers babies at five o'clock clock. Oh, and he didn't just give birth. And he won't, ever. He has no concept of the physical and emotional demands of childbirth, even if he proves himself to be an excellent child-caregiver. Do not sell yourself short.

I could understand how doing it everyday could make you complacent but maybe that's the kick in the butt you need to realise your role In the family and to take a little more effort in doing so ? Sorry op no disrespect just being real

Please explain how doing literally everything except for work- and quite possibly doing that as well- is OP's "role." And explain how you think that is a healthy dynamic for children to grow up seeing- mom does everything around he house, while dad does nothing around the house and never spends time with the kids. Regardless of whether you "meant" any disrespect, you sure as **** did disrespect OP and every mother out there that handles the house hold- it is NOT their damn role to take care of the place that the husband ALSO live, just because they are a woman.

I don't agree your life sucks OR that you deserved it... You suck.
