Today, I announced to my family that I will be trying out for the next season of America's Best Dance Crew. They responded by laughing hysterically and my mother said "You guys suck, good luck making it past auditions". FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I told my mom I want to try out for American Idol. She responded with, "You don't take disappointment well." FML
Got talent?
Today, I told my mom that I want to try out for a singing competition on TV, so I might be able to kick off my musical career. She convinced me to sing a song for her, so I did. Mid-way through, she lost it, burst into laughter, and told me to stay in school. FML
Pure entertainment
Today, I auditioned for a part in a play. I've been practicing for months, and was very excited. After I'd finished singing, the director whispered something to the other judges, and they all laughed. Hard. So much for the lead role. FML
MOM!
Today, I went to a comedy show with my mom, and they asked the audience members to yell out their problems as ideas for an improv skit. My mom yelled, "My daughter can't get a boyfriend!" FML
Today, I came out to my parents. They laughed in my face. FML
Today, my mom told me to break a leg before performing in my dancing school's show. I really did break part of my leg while performing. FML
Today, I came home and told my mom that I got the lead in the school musical, which I was very happy about. She pulled me into a hug then said, "But you know you can't really sing, right?" FML
Mean Girls
Today, I tried out for cheerleading. The judges, two head cheerleaders, sized me up, burst out laughing and made fat jokes towards me. I fought back and called them, "twiggy fucking sluts." At that moment, the coach walked in and saw and reported me to the principal. The judges got off scott free. FML
Today, I told my mom I wanted to try out for the track team. Her exact words were "good luck, fatty". FML
The straights are at it again
Today, I came out to my parents. My mother laughed and, when I asked her what was so funny, she told me, "Well, most gays are attractive, muscular, funny and can dress very well. You're ugly, fat, boring, and have no sense of fashion. Good luck." FML

Just because you play "Dance Central" on the Kinect doesn't mean you can dance.

They are saying what most of the contestants on America Idol's families should have said. "Just because you like doing something doesn't mean your good at it. Your going to embarrass yourself, don't do it."

You have two options 1 your mom has no taste in your style of dance and therefore has no valid opinion 2 you do suck and shes saving you some embarrassment. Ask someone who knows what they are talking about

Because I'm sure you'd rather embarrass yourself on national television instead of in front of your mother.
