Today, I agreed to lend my daughter's inflatable pool to my neighbor for the day. Barely an hour later, I witnessed his son jump off their balcony, missing the pool by inches. He's now in hospital, and my neighbor has sworn to sue me, saying I'm responsible because the pool is mine. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Health hazard
Today, while lifeguarding, a kid thought it'd be hilarious to take a crap in the pool. The other kids freaked out and rushed to get out. Several of them slipped on the way out and hurt themselves fairly badly. Two parents are now threatening to sue us, and my boss blames me. FML
Today, I was stretching on the balcony, when I heard my neighbor's daughter scream. She was playing in their kiddie pool and thought I was peeping on her. And now her parents think so too. FML
Today, I went to the pool with my son. One moment I'm sitting down, applying sunscreen to my legs, and the next I look up to see him squatting on the diving board, seconds before dropping a deuce into the pool. As we got kicked out, he screamed that it was my fault. FML
Today, I was at the pool with two boys I babysit. The eldest wouldn't get out of the pool so I pretended to call his dad. He then ran out of the pool, pushed me down, grabbed my phone, chucked it into the pool and then ran back into the pool. FML
Today, I caught my elderly neighbour skinny-dipping in my pool. FML
Coming through!
Today, I taught my kid how to mow the lawn. It's a self-propelling mower so it's easy to handle. My kid thought it would be smart to tie the handle down so that he wouldn't have to push it at all. This resulted in the lawn mower blasting through our fence and sinking into my neighbor's pool. FML
Today, my friend and I decided to go skinny-dipping in her pool just after we'd finished watching a scary movie. While we were in the pool, I heard something move in the bushes so I freaked out and ran onto the deck, slipping and falling flat on my back. Her dad saw the whole thing. FML
Party pooper
Today, I was at a pool party. My friend's little sister pushed me in the pool, so when I got out, I pushed her in. She started screaming, and I started laughing because I thought she was pissed that I'd pushed her in. That wasn't why she was screaming. She can't swim. Her whole family witnessed it. FML
Today, I was at a friend's pool party. He lives on a lake and one of our friends wouldn't get in the water. My best friend and I decided to push him off the dock. Once we had, I turned to see my crush who had watched looked shocked, then said, "You know he can't swim right?" FML
Safety first
Today, my parents had my little sister's birthday pool party at our house. My mom decided to tell all the guests that the pool was "just for decoration" and nobody would actually be allowed to swim in it. Cue a million screaming tantrums and my parents and even me receiving tons of hate. FML

Counter sue him for the distress and trauma that you and your pool suffered from having to watch it.

People like your neighbor makes me want to strangle them.

Irresponsible parents will always find a way to blame others for their own stupidity, even if it makes them look incredibly ridiculous; they won't ever admit they ****** up and endangered their own child's life with their negligence... I guess the guilt would be too much to handle, so they make excuses or force someone else to take responsibility. It's just plain selfish; they deny the truth just to make themselves feel better. Bottom line: your kid = your responsibility. FYL for sure!

you don't have to worry about anything. its her fault for letting her kid jump.

You should sue him for almost damaging your pool. What if your son actually made the jump, he could have busted it up! The bottom line is, if he's gonna unreasonably sue you, you must unreasonable sue him! Why? 'Cause this is 'MURICA!

I'm sure there are warnings on the box, so see what it says, I'm pretty sure that it says something about NOT diving in. Plus you never encouraged him to jump from the roof.

Wow this is sad. Almost as bad as the guy suing apple because he said his Mac made him addicted to pornography.

The kid might be cured of stupidity now. I did something similar, jumped off my deck....last year (yep, I was an idiot). I broke my ankle and was on crutches/wheelchair for ~2 months. My stupidity was cured pretty damn quickly, so hopefully the kid's is too.

I wouldn't worry about it. If he was on his own property it's all his responsibility. he better have a pretty damn good lawyer to win that case in court.
