Today, I accidentally spilled red wine on my cat. She ran away and licked the wine off before I had a chance to clean her. My mother is deeply concerned our cat is dying. I'm trying to tell her to wait 24 hours before taking her to the vet's, simply because I think my cat is hung over. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Pissed
Today, after cleaning my house, I decided to treat myself with a glass of wine. I poured the wine, set it down, and came back just in time to see my cat push it off the table. I then yelled at her, which scared her so much she pissed on the carpet. FML
Today, my cat vomited violently. I can smell it but I can't find it. FML
Every day is Caturday
Today, my mom came home drunk and yelled at me for 20 minutes for not feeding the cat. We don't have a cat. FML
Today, I noticed my cat was about to vomit on the rug and yelled at her to move. She spooked and managed to throw up while running. I still had to clean up the rug. FML
Today, my dad texted me while I was in school saying, "Your cat vomited. Covered it up with a bowl so you can clean it when you come home." FML
Time to go to the vet
Today, my cat is extremely sick and has trouble grooming himself. As evidenced by his butt. He laid on me for a while and it wasn't until a few minutes after he got off that I realized he had stained my pants. That also explains why my chair suddenly looks so nasty, and why my room smells horrible. FML
Sunday funday
Today, I spilled a bottle of honey on the floor while preparing breakfast. As I frantically tried to clean it up, my cat deemed it the perfect opportunity to slide and pad through the sticky mess like a slip-n-slide. Now, I have a honey-coated cat, a ruined floor, and a sticky mess to clean up before my roommates get home. FML
Today, I woke up at 2 a.m. needing a drink. Not only did my cat wake everyone up when I tripped over him, but I also spilled a whole gallon of milk on myself. FML
Today, while feeding my neighbour's cats, I mistakenly switched up their foods. One has medicated food that causes drowsiness. The healthy cat got knocked out like a log. I panicked, laid him out by the bed, and spilled milk around his head to make it look "natural." I think I'm going to hell. FML
Hissing booth
Today, I took my cat to the vet for a regular check-up. In the waiting room, she escaped from her carrier and created chaos, knocking over supplies, and hissing at everyone. FML

If it was just a small amount she will probably be fine, just make sure she is drinking water and isn't acting overly weird.

Tell your mom if she wants to save your cat, she'd be better off taking it to an AA meeting.

I know its probably too late for this by now, but for future reference: PHONE the vet, explain the situation. They can tell you whether your cat needs to be brought in or not. A small amount to us might be enough to cause alcohol poisoning to a cat. Most vet clinics are soooo flat out that if you don't need to come in, they'll tell you.

They absolutely can get drunk from alcohol. It's also a poison to us, hence the term alcohol poisoning.

Um. I really hope this is a joke. Cats and dogs can't get drunk. If you give a cat a tablespoon of any kind of alcohol, they will more than likely die. Animal kidneys aren't designed to filter alcohol, meaning; They. Cannot. Get. Drunk.

Grapes are toxic to cats and dogs. Wine is made of grapes. If the cat's acting that sick, go to the vet.
