Today, at age eighteen, I finished moving out of my parents' house and into my own. The only person to even remotely give a shit was my sister, and that was only because I was taking the cat with me. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
A news day
Today, I'm moving out of the house. My little sister can't wait and I've never seen my dad so happy. FML
Today, I decided it was time to start looking for my own place and finally gain my full independence. My mom agreed happily without hesitation, which was surprising, but not anywhere near as surprising as finding out I have one day to get my shit together and leave. FML
Today, my mom got a cat. I'm allergic to cats, so I politely asked my mom why she got it. Her response: "I want you to finally want to move out." I turned eighteen two weeks ago. FML
Manchild
Today, I moved in with my boyfriend. Up until now, I thought my cat was the only four year-old I had to deal with. FML
Today, I found out that the day I moved out of my parents' house, they invited my whole family over and had a party to celebrate the fact that I was gone. FML
Cut the apron strings
Today, at 30 years-old, I can finally move out. I could have chosen an apartment close to work, but instead I decided to stay close to where my mother lives. Since I told her, she's been complaining that I'm selfish and I'm creating a lot of problems for her by moving so far away. I'll be living half a block from her. FML
Toxic people
Today, I moved back with my mom, sister and niece after 10 years on my own. My niece is 11, we talked about life and she agrees my mom and my sister are toxic and that I should move out. She'll do it as soon as she's 18. I'm 29. FML
Today, after telling my parents just exactly what I thought of them and that I was moving out, the person I was supposed to move in with called to say they'd decided they would rather live alone. FML
Heart-wrenching
Today, it hit me that my dad didn't cry when I moved out, he did so only when I came back later to pick up my cat. FML
Today, after months of telling my parents I was going to live on my own, I finally moved out. Not even 24 hours being out of their house, some reject burned down the apartment complex I live in. Guess who's moving back home. FML

Better than living in your parent's basement until you're thrity. You've got a good head on your shoulders. Kudos!

Sounds like moving out was a big life upgrade. The hell with them. Go make your own family with people you choose.

Now u know how to make her do stuff for u. If she doesn't, take the cat away until she does.

I'm sorry but does it really take that much effort to type 'you' instead of 'u'?

At least they didn't cry tears of joy.

Ignore them. If they won't even say a simple good-bye or something, you don't need them. On the bright side, you're moving out so you won't even have to deal with them anymore.

Did you expect them to beg you to stay, eat their food and stink up their basement? Enjoy your newfound freedom, its amazing.

When I moved out the last words were "The rest of your stuff will be on the porch tomorrow. Good bye." So I don't know which is worse. Sorry.
