Today, as I was coming out of the ladies' room, I saw a guy glancing at me. A few minutes later, I saw him coming at me at a fast rate. I decided to run from him. As I got out of the building and into a cab, I saw him from the window waving my phone at me. He was just trying to return it. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Pay attention
Today, I was at a busy restaurant and, in a rush, walked into the men’s restroom instead of the women’s. I was so focused on my phone that I didn’t notice the stares, or the guy at the sink giving me the confused glare. When I finally looked up and saw the urinals, I practically sprinted out. FML
Today, a guy who annoys me walked over. To avoid speaking to him, I pretended to be on the phone and he walked away. A few moments later, my phone rang. I looked around to see if he'd seen me. He had. He was the one calling me from down the hall. FML
Today, to avoid a guy who's been creepily following me around school lately, I ducked into the girl's bathroom. After few minutes, he stuck his head in with his eyes closed and asked if I was done yet. FML
Today, on my way to work, I was checking my hair in the semi-reflective window of an office building. I suddenly realized that the guy I had a one-night stand with last week was standing on the other side, looking confused. He now genuinely believes that I am stalking him. FML
HEY YOU
Today, on the way home, a guy yelled "Hey, YOU!" from behind me, so I walked faster. He ran up to me, shouting, "I said stop, asshole!" I almost pissed myself in fear, thinking I was being mugged. Turns out I'd left my wallet at the grocery store, and he was just trying to return it. FML
Today, I watched as a guy hit my car, laugh when he saw me running towards him, and drive away. FML
Today, I found a guy getting out of my car with my GPS. He started running and I chased him. We eventually reached a dead end and he gave it back to me. I took it back from him and said, "Sorry..." FML
Today, at the urinal a guy came up next to me to do his business. He stared over at me, looked down, laughed and then left. FML
Caught
Today, I went on a date with a guy. I lost interest in him quick, so I excused myself to go to the bathroom, hoping to make a run for the hills. As soon as I reached the front door, our server yells out, "I hope you’re not thinking about dining and dashing!" FML
Help yourself
Today, I was working at the mall as the girl that stands around giving out samples of the foods. This guy came up to me and we were flirting for at least 30 minutes. With the tray in one hand, I gave him my cell to put his number in it. He ran away with my phone. FML

Oh, guys like a chase. I bet this same story will show up as a "Dear Penthouse:"

I bet he looked your number up on your phone before giving it back. Now he has your number. You'll never get rid of him. Plus, with good enough stalker skills, he can find out where you live. You DO have reason to be concerned!

I would never! You're way too awesome. =) At least your pic is of a hottie, though not as much of a hottie as you.

FYL. Unfortunately, when women are continually attacked, they all start to feel more suspicious of strangers. Perhaps the OP lives in an area with lots of crime and had good reason to be wary. And I think too often men don't realize how they come off and unintentionally make women feel uncomfortable. That guy could have called out and said "hey, I think you left your phone" or something to make it clear.

For the record, the most common motivation for rapists is hatred and the need for power/control, not sexual attraction.

So many crazy people out there these days, so I don't blame you for freaking out. He could have at least shouted that he had your cell phone or something so that he wouldn't seem like a maniac who is just about to attack you. I guess you can say it is better to be safe than sorry!

If this happened in a deserted area then I could understand you running off. As it is, since you caught a cab so quickly, it sounds like you were in a populated area, which means you let your fears get the best of you and override your logic. YDI.
