Today, after an extremely hard day at work, I took a hot shower to wind down a little bit. I accidentally splashed a painful amount of hot water and shampoo in my eyes. My left contact is now stuck to my eyeball. FML

Good part is: when you cry, there will be bubbles (:

you're not supposed to wear contacts in the shower.

how hot would the water be to melt the contacts? n I'm sure u wouldn't be able to shower in water of that sort of temperature

must have been some anger!a

combine the awesome powers of hot water and shampoo and you get... contact lences melting power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol, I'm guessing that the shampoo prolly helped clean the contact n the water burned OP's eye which caused the eye to melt D:

If there are a permanent part of your eye, it's a good thing there was shampoo to wash it, gotta keep those things clean.

put some solution on ur finger then rub ur eye and it shoul come out.. works for me

Does this happen to you often?

that sucks!!!!

next time you should probably take the contacts out before you shower. That could really

that could really.....what???!

that could really... help?

That could really... lead to murder?

that could really... end poverty and create world peace

that could really make it worse if op is really blind

You wouldve been better off being blind in the shower without your contacts.

hmm sounds like quite a problem, a painful one at that.. Get it checked if you don't find another solution .-.

I'm pretty sure you would get burnt by the water long before it melted your contact lens... still, it sounds painful. hope you're ok, OP

that's why they say not to shower with contacts in...

OP may be new to contacts.
