Today, a customer at the Walmart I work at had a hissy fit and began throwing merchandise everywhere, including at my face, because we are Canadian and don't have a show called "Extreme Couponing" for "devoted shoppers" like her. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, a customer became irrationally angry and called me a "stupid bitch", all because she couldn't use the coupon clearly marked "30% off grocery items" on a prescription from our pharmacy. FML
Today, I got bitched out by some lady in a Walmart because I looked at her funny while she was on the phone, loudly bragging about "slapping the shit out of" her kids. FML
Today, at work, a customer threatened to punch me in the face because the store I work at doesn't have shopping baskets, only carts. FML
Today, I was at work, stocking shelves. A customer got mad because I was in the way of her "shopping time" and knocked down all the work I had done. FML
Today, at Walmart, a woman kept screaming at her husband for the most ridiculous reasons. My friend snickered that she must be on her period, prompting her to whirl around, storm over, and slap the hell out of me, thinking I was the one who said it. FML
Today, I was shopping at Walmart, when I saw a really good deal on some bacon. Before I could take any, a huge-ass woman stormed over, kicked my cart down the aisle, and snatched every single packet for herself. And I actually got upset over this. FML
Today, being near-broke, I resorted to shopping at Walmart. Barely ten minutes in, an obese sack of lard posing as a human being shoved me away from the bacon I was looking at. I fell, busted my lip, then got screamed at by another woman for not watching where I was going. FML
Today, a customer yelled at me so furiously that she sprayed my face with spittle. I had to stand there, smiling and politely explaining that I needed to see a receipt before I could give her a refund. When she finally gave up and left, my boss bitched me out for "provoking the customer". FML
Today, I reduced a customer to tears and she had a tantrum, saying that nobody loves her, her life is a joke, and she’d be better off dead. This ordeal happened to grab the attention of my manager who was nearby. All I did was tell her that an item she wanted was sold out and offered to help her order it online. FML
Today, I had to stand next to my wife at the supermarket, beet-red and pretending not to exist; about half an hour into our shopping, she completely lost her shit at the advertising on the loudspeaker, turned to another patron, and screamed into his face to shut the fuck up. FML

14-assault is a little, okay, VERY extreme. Throw her out, ban her from the store, have her pay for any damages she may have caused, but physical abuse isn't deserved.

Incredibly true. My home is 15 minutes away from the 2nd largest Walmart in the world only behind one in China and my mother worked there part time for a few summers (she's a teacher so yeah) and she said how they always cut all these corners getting lower quality stuff so they could sell them for less and still make huge profit. I will never buy anything but food from there because its the only thing that's untouched, but still cheap.

Well luckily for us, my husband and I are military [may have contributed to my lack of humor xP], so we get to shop tax-free on base. Pretty awesome since I'm still earning degrees which are incredibly overpriced :S

We debated asking for a base on the NE coast because I love it there, but my husband hates snow. The taxes there are insane. Of the times I have been in the area, I have NEVER shopped there. And I'll definitely pass on the thanks :)

im not sure of the exact number. but I know it is near one of the highest tax rates in America, but I believe California has the highest. and I am going to school 30 minutes away from the canadian border. I have family that lives even closer and they always shop in Ontario because of how much cheaper it is.
