Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my mother-in-law asked if she could move in with us. FML
Today, my flatmate moved in with me. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me, so did her mother. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I moved into our own house. He proceeded to invite his parents to stay for the week. The same parents we've lived with for the past 5 years. FML
Today, I found out that after moving in with my mother and her boyfriend into his place two months ago, she's breaking up with him, and leaving me stuck with him. Awkward. FML
Today, I found out the person that I’ve been casually seeing has decided he wants to live with me. I found this out when I asked him to go home after two weeks sleeping over, and he told me he'd already moved out of his mom’s. I sublet a single bedroom and have barely enough room for myself. FML
Today, my mom gave me thirty days notice to find an apartment and move out. Why? She's dating my former best friend and wants to move him in, but he won't do it until I'm gone because it would be "awkward." FML
Today, at the breakfast table my mum asked me what I thought about the plumber who came to our place a couple of weeks ago. I told her that I thought he was really cute and how hard I tried to flirt with him, she nodded and told me that he is her new boyfriend and might move in with us soon. FML
Today, my mother told me she thinks it is time for me to move into my own place. I agreed with her and went to look at studios/flats online. She later came into my room, saw me looking at places and then got pissed off at me, saying that I hate her for wanting to leave her. FML
Today, my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to move out. Excited, thinking he wanted us to move out from his mom's house, I said, "Yeah! Just you and me?" to which he smirked and replied, "No, just you." FML
Today, my boyfriend told me that we wouldn't move in together as we had planned to do for a long time. His mother forbade it. He is 27. FML

That's when you say "I wouldn't be comfortable with that but she's always welcome to come visit".

Remind him that his mom living with you guys means no random blow jobs in the kitchen. That should set him straight.

Say to him "mum or me". If he chooses his mum, kick him in the balls (trust me it's the worst pain a guy can feel).

Good luck with that

RE: "Well, what's the worst that could happen?" Famous last words! The worst I can think of is a drunken unintentional threesome. I guess non-drunken would be worse...

Indeed good luck. A mum should never be in the middle of a relationship.

Well if she doesn't move in... Who's going to cut the crust off the sandwiches!?! Who's going to clean and put hot pockets in the microwave while he's playing Metroid on his super nintendo!?! Yeah get her on the lease now

So how do you feel about it?

I feel like that's the reason you move out of the house, to get away from your parents and rules. That's just asking for arguments and you won't have any privacy so what would be the point might as well stay at home and help with bills.

Don't let him talk you into this! The last thing you need is dealing with the in-laws 24/7. Might as well get married in that case. =|

It was a rhetorical question, the mom is moving in either way.
luccmon 6
Yeah who said there was a choice? I read that he asked how OP feels about it.
stevenJB 25
Nope. Bitch had a home to raise that boy in for 18years.
luccmon 6
If your mom wasn't 100% all about raising you for the first 18 years and then some, then I feel sorry for YOU my friend.

Yeah... That's probably about the time I'd inform his mother that I have 5 dogs, 2 cats and a parrot, but she's welcome to move in too!XD
