Thanks Raymond
Today, my cat brought home a bloody, barely-living mouse. The thing managed to escape and dragged itself into a crack in the wall, where it must have died. The only way to get it out before it starts to stink up the place is by demolishing the wall. FML

Why demolishing the wall? Can't you just cut a small square into the drywall??

Better to do it sooner than later... The smell will only get worse

Maybe a vacuum attachment with pantyhose on the end? Suck it out ?

New to cat ownership, huh? Bringing you an almost-dead mouse is nothing. Wait until she brings you HALF a mouse and it gets smeared all over the carpet.

Cat in the wall, eh? OK, now you're talking my language.

On the bright side, you at least can say your cat cares enough about you to bring home prey for you to eat.

Use a nozzle to spray in some powerful acidic liquid to neutralize the living tissue and prevent rotting.

Demolish the wall? Damn, it's just a mouse. Even if it doesn't just dry up, it's so small that the time it would take to rot (and make a smell) would be fairly short and wouldn't be very noticeable unless you got near that area. Do you think it's just going to stink forever?

Why did you let it escape, OP?
