Today, I talked to my husband about his lack of interest in sex. Apparently his definition is polar to mine; his is along the lines of cuddling. Not only did I wait until marriage to have sex with this man, apparently he prefers a permanent roommate without benefits. FML

Today, my husband seems to think sex once a month is adequate, and that it’s acceptable to nap on the sofa once he gets home from work, wake up for dinner, then go straight to bed. I also can’t speak to him while he’s eating, because he’s watching tv. I thought I had a husband, not a roommate. FML
Today, I had a boyfriend who wanted to wait until marriage before having sex. When I came home, I realised he must have married my roommate. FML
Today, I demanded to know why my boyfriend even stays with me if he’s not interested in marriage or children, hates my family, barely talks to me when he gets home, and seems uninterested in sex. Apparently, the cheap rent on my flat was his sole interest in me. FML
Today, I realized that the only time my boyfriend is physically affectionate with me is when he wants to have sex. When I suggested we just cuddle, he looked at me and said, "What’s the point in that?" FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he’d rather masturbate than have sex with me, and that sex with me is a chore. FML
Today, the love of my life, and long term partner, sat me down and told me that he feels so comfortable in our relationship that he no longer feels the need to have sex with me, and he doesn't think that that will ever change. FML
Today, like every other day for the past two weeks, my husband was not in the mood for sex. He told me this while masturbating. FML
Today, I finally had sex with my live-in boyfriend after a long dry spell. It was passionate and great, until I hurt my back changing positions. Now he refuses to touch me, going as far as sleeping on the couch to give me "enough space". Hello new dry spell. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me that he’s no longer interested in sex with me, as he just can't be bothered. FML
Today, I told my husband that it makes me feel unattractive and undesirable that I’m the only one to ever initiate intimacy. Not just sex, but also basic affection like hugging and kissing. His response? "Oh." FML

I feel ya. Going thru the same thing. It's been two and a half years since I've had sex with my husband. At least yours is interested in cuddling. Our intimacy consists of pecks goodnight or the occasional hand hold. FML is right!!

This makes me shudder. I am amazed at how long some people choose to abstain when they are healthy and capable. Even after several years and with a young kid you have to separate me and my s/o with a crowbar sometimes lol. Most people continue to have active sex drives well into their 60s and 70s so make sure that your husband is healthy (medications, heart conditions, depression, testosterone imbalances can all decimate libido) his doctor would find this cause for concern if he once had a healthy/average drive.

I concur #29. I have a 9 month old and my husband doesn't have sex with me any more. I have a high libido and he physically resists me if I try anything sexual (going down on him included).FML.

Maybe he's gay and hasn't come to terms with it yet. Or he could have some underlying issues that he hasn't told you about. Either way, you should be patient with him and try to help him feel more comfortable with it.

Sounds like he probably prefers men over women. And no I'm not being anti-gay. Just usually the situation that ensues. On a lighter note if you haven't actually had sex yet and consummate the marriage you CAN get it annulled!

Getting annulled is hardly a lighter note - this is an FML because OP wants to spend the rest of her life with her husband but has found out they're potentially sexually incompatible, not because she can't find a way out of the marriage!

Getting a marriage annulled these days has nothing to do with "consumation". This isn't the middle ages, after all.

In most states you only have a certain length of time after the wedding to get an annulment except for non consummation. It's still considered a valid reason depending on your states laws. Also grounds for divorce depending on the divorce laws.
