Today, after I told my roommate last week she needed to find a new place to live because I thought she was psychotic, she set my house on fire. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my roommate came home and instantly began raging, cursing, and threatening to kill me. While I was cowering in my bedroom, the police had to settle the situation. All I'd done was rearrange some furniture. FML
Today, my house was set on fire, courtesy of my ex-girlfriend, who found out that I have a new girlfriend. Most of our belongings are now reduced to ashes. FML
Today, one of my roommates blew a fuse by running a personal heater on full overnight. I notified our landlady that I had to get a new fuse; she came over to pay me for it. Only as I heard landlady's horn did I see another roommate's girlfriend's car; she stayed overnight and isn't allowed to. Both roomies got evicted and blamed me. FML
Today, I found out my little sister is a pyromaniac. She set my bed on fire. FML
Today, I kindly asked my crazy roommate to move out. She answered by stuffing raw hamburger meat down all the drains in the apartment. FML
Today, my roommate thought it was a good idea to set my beard on fire to wake me up. FML
Today, I got into a fight with my roommate's girlfriend's best friend. A few hours later, they had me evicted. FML
Today, after months of telling my parents I was going to live on my own, I finally moved out. Not even 24 hours being out of their house, some reject burned down the apartment complex I live in. Guess who's moving back home. FML
Today, my roommate, who has bipolar disorder and refuses to take his meds, tried to stab me with a kitchen knife because I threw out his moldy cheese. FML
Today, I woke up to my psycho roommate trying to baptize me in my sleep. FML

I mean...if you literally told her she was psychotic, you were probably looking for fireworks. If you know someone is crazy, you never TELL them they’re crazy. You come up with any other excuse because you never know what they’re gonna do. They’re CRAZY for chrissakes...

OP, I’m sure it’s no consolation but you were obviously correct about your roommate. I sympathize with you, as a boy our house burned down and we lost nearly everything and had to move in with my grandparents. Eventually it was OK as nobody was hurt and Dad had insurance. I hope you had insurance. I trust you are pressing charges, this nut job is a danger to anyone and their selves. I do agree with someone who said to never tell a crazy person they are crazy - find another excuse. Do be more selective of roommates in the future - though I have no doubt you will be now.

Grandmother in South Omaha, NE got a restraining order against her grandson as he threatened to set her house on fire. Next day her house blew up killing the grandmother, another female, and later dying in the ICU the grandson she feared that would kill her. The grandfather is holding on to life in the ICU at 79 years old. The house was completely leveled by the explosion and damaged houses near it. The entire house is gone reduced to toothpicks. At least yours didn’t kill you. Google wowt or ketv for the real news article. Happened last week!
