Love me do
Today, my husband complained that the kids are more attached to me than they are to him. Let’s see: I do all the housework, school activities, doctor and dentist appointments, extracurriculars, and cook dinner every night. What does he do? He works so he thinks we should all exalt him. FML

Not all roles in parenting or relationships are always equally respected. It doesn’t mean one is “more important” than another. … If the kids aren’t bonding with Dad, that’s really on him and not you unless some sort of mind games are going on. Maybe you can either kindly suggest things Dad could do with the kids that would help or if that doesn’t work suggest family counseling with the two of you. Children really respond better in the long run when they have both parents in their lives - As long as it’s not a competition.

But did your husband complain that the kids are more attached to you, or that you don’t exalt him?
