Pay attention!

Today, my boyfriend and I were arguing about how he was too busy for me. During that conversation, he was texting his best friend and then called by his brother to drive him home. Instead of returning to finish our conversation, he left to prepare for his fishing trip with his mates tomorrow. FML

You need to make him choose. A relationship takes two. If he isn't willing to put in time for you then you need to find someone else.

I would break up with him. if he can't focus when you're talking to him about something that's important to you he doesn't seem worth it.

Thats the case in everything butt sex.

Hahaha "butt sex".

on to the next one!

Well, OP, you know how busy he is. If you argued your case maturely (or tried too) your choice is to simply accept that he doesn't have (or make) time for you, or just leave him for the same reason. Especially seeing as though he didn't view your viewpoint as worth returning too, which is either due to how much he cares, or how maturely you acted putting your point across.

he could've invited you to go fishing

eff that! u take your gf put with all your buddys and see how you like it.

I went camping with my boyfriend and his friends; it was my favorite part of last summer. There's nothing wrong with a girl going fishing.

That really depends on the type of girl the OP is. She might despise fishing, or she might not get on that well with his mates. Or she could love fishing and get on with his mates really well, but I figure if this were the case she might already have had an offer to go with them...

time to move on

I obviously don't know your whole situation; one one hand you could be the clingy type that thinks their boyfriend should be with them all the time 24/7. On the other hand, if he couldn't even focus on you while you were talking to him then there's definately a problem! My suggestion is to try talking to him again, possibly taking away his phone, and telling him things need to change to keep it working. I think you guys should have a date night, pick one night of the week and make it your date night so that whatever else goes on that week you still have your date night which is a priority for both of you!! And it could be staying home and watching a movie in your pjs, or it could be going out to dinner. My other piece of advice, let him have guy time!!! Men need guy time where they can get away and do stuff with the guys. Whether it's hockey, fishing or just hanging out, he needs that time and you need to support it so he doesn't feel like he's going to be in trouble for going! While he's doing guy time you can go out with your friends or find a hobby. But if you want your relationship to work he needs to have guy time at least once or twice a week!! And this goes for whether you're dating or married! Men need their time and women have to understand that for any relationship to work! you may even find that the time he spends with you is better than it was cause he'll be missing you or thankful you're not super clingy like some of his guys girlfriends! : )

this ^ proves my point..
