Miserable lie
Today, I have the flu. I had to wash the dishes, cook dinner, take out the trash, and take care of the laundry, all while my wife sat around watching TV, because she was "too tired". I work 8 hours a day. She's a college student. She doesn't see what's so unfair about this. FML

I don't know about you but when i had the flu i had headaches, body aches, sore throat, and a runny nose. The last thing i wanted to do was move.

Just divorce that lazy bitch

If she was the sick one you would still be expecting her to do the normal cooking & cleaning. Man up, get over yourself. Men! When you're asked to do anything besides eat, sleep, crap, & watch tv you complain. Your flu isn't so bad that you don't feel well enough to get online to bitch about her.

Furthermore, if this was a woman saying the same thing everyone would be going on about how he's a hard worker and deserves some down time. Double standards.

YDI for marrying an immature college student... And people wonder why the divorce rate is so high. Because of ill-considered marriages.

I feel like the degree and level of degree she's working toward affects my opinion on this FML. If she's working on a PhD in biofuels, yeah I can see why she'd be too tired to help out. Some times I spend two days straight working on campus without any sleep at all, and I'm just an undergraduate!

Immature wife?

Uni is incredibly tiring at times, but she should have been helping you even if you weren't ill. You both work your arses off, she can't lump all the work onto you just because she's tired.

I'm in college, and while its not nothing it isn't hard either.

wow she is lazy. I've been out of school about 2 years now and working full time is 10x harder than finals week in college.

Since all she does is go to school, she should not be watching tv all day. She should be studying. When she takes breaks, she should use that time for cleaning. However op, because you allow her to act like this, I am saying you deserve it. Lay down the law, and make it clear that if she doesn't do her part, you aren't providing ANY monetary support (this includes "play money" and even money to pay for school). My dad had to do this to my stepmom because that's all she would do--sit around and watch tv, flunk her classes (that my dad paid for), and have my sister and I do all the house work. Needless to say, they are divorcing.

Karma has an awesome way of working though.
