Lucky, huh?
Today, my co-worker told me how "lucky" I am that I "chose" to be a lesbian, because I don't have to deal with "guy drama". I spent two years of my adolescence sleeping at a bus stop and begging strangers for money after I got kicked out of home. FML

For some people, their knowledge of the LGBT community doesn't extend past pornos and shitty movies. But I'm glad you've bettered your life, OP.

Les be honest, people who think that one's sexuality is a choice are assholes.

There's still going to be drama whether it's a guy or a girl depending on how well you get along with them.

Kicking out your own kids because of their sexuality. That's just cruel. Ignore the co-worker OP, at least your not homeless anymore.

Op it is a shame we don't live in a world where we don't care about what gender they like and we care more about the person they are

Guys and ignorant colleagues seems small drama to me compared with ignorant, intolerant, stupid people who -as parents- should love you unconditionally
