Today, I was out when a guy walking with his girlfriend eyed me up. I made a shocked face at him and kept walking. The next thing I knew, his girlfriend was beating the shit out of me claiming that I was "the other woman." I'd never seen the guy before in my life. FML

Today, I saw my girlfriend walking hand-in-hand down the street with another man. When I confronted her, she claimed she had no idea who I was, and the guy told me to beat it. Later on, she returned to our apartment and actually tried to act as if nothing had happened. FML
Today, I learned that the guy I was seeing had a girlfriend that he hid from me. I found this out when she attacked me. FML
Today, I found out my girlfriend of 3 years has been cheating on me. When I explained the situation to the "other guy", he exclaimed that I was lying because I was jealous and trying to ruin his relationship. He punched me in the face. FML
Today, a man came up to me and punched me in the face. He turned out to be the guy my ex-girlfriend cheated on me with. Apparently, she told him we broke up because I used to beat her. FML
Today, I was shopping with my girlfriend, when a girl came out of nowhere, screaming at me for cheating on her, and saying she was dumping me. I've never seen her before, and she was almost grinning during her little act, but my girlfriend believed it, and I'm now single. FML
Today, I was running with two other women when a guy started tailing us in his car and catcalling. I quickly got fed up and gave him the finger. Turns out, he's the husband of one of the women I was running with. For the next half hour, I had to listen to her go on about how adorable he was. She totally saw what I did. FML
Today, while I was out walking with my girlfriend, I got beaten up and called an "abuser" by a gang of women who noticed bruises on my girlfriend's arms and legs. The bruises are from her karate class. FML
Today, I spotted my girlfriend in a store. She didn't notice me, so I went behind her, put my hands over her eyes, and said "Guess who." I got an elbow to the groin and mace to the face. While I was rolling on the ground in pain, she simply said, "Serves you right" and walked away. FML
Today, while I was out shopping, a fairly hideous-looking woman stormed up to me and accused me of ogling her, saying, "As if I'd ever date you!" Less than a minute later, she'd somehow managed to bully me into falsely admitting to it and apologizing. FML
Today, I ran into the guy I’ve been seeing. He was holding hands with another girl. FML

OP you deserve it for being pathetic enough to pull a 'shocked face'. You knew that had potential to cause conflict between the two of them, and thats really selfish. Couples have enough damn fights without people like you causing more. Guys dont stop checking out other girls once they're in a relationship, thats ridiculous. They still have the biological instinct to notice an attractive woman. He was doing what most guys do, and you decided to provoke the situation. I hope next time you dont cause tension between another two people and just take it as a damn compliment that he noticed you. Grow up.

@63 Looking someone up and down is not "staring", its called checking someone out, and most normal people do it on daily basis. If you have enough social anxiety that you can't handle such a normal human instinct, the maybe you should just stay at home and be away from other humans. Wow, the stupidity is truly mind blowing. No, the OP does not deserve this, whether her reaction was involuntary or not, it was justified, being checked out by a guy who is clearly with someone, it makes you feel disgusted. Especially since being checked out by someone IS NOT a compliment in general, it can feel rather objectifying. Also, while men noticing attractive women might be biological instinct, we actually CAN expect them not to check out other girls when they're in a relationship. You know why? Cause we're intelligent human beings with SELF-CONTROL. He did not need to check her out, especially right in front of his gf, and the girl defiantly didn't need to beat OP.
