Support coming your way
Today, and everyday for the past year and a half, I've felt miserable. I took the decision to leave, not knowing that it would be hell. Now I'm stuck thinking it's good for my future, and too scared to leave. I hate it and hate everything and everyone in this place. I want to leave and I need the courage. The future terrifies me. FML

OP, just occasionally I come across such a sad situation here that all I can say is that I am sorry. I cannot imagine what it must be like to be born into such a society that just because of my gender I would be treated the way you are… I hope there are resources available to you that would make your escape possible. Ultimately you have two choices - Take the chance that leads to freedom but is dangerous or give up and take the role they force you into. I am sorry your choices are so desperate.

Just FYI, she posted an update which explains that she moved there and her family does not live there. That's what her 2nd sentence refers to. So unlike you assumed, you are actually the one who didn't pay attention and gave ignorant advice. /article/been-there-can-t-do-that_413862.html

to leave where your home or work place. the future is unknown but you can send your prayers into the future for how you want it to go spend time in prayer and ask God for direction. I feel like you will do fine and if it is hard is is still worth what your currently dealing with ?

To leave where? If within the country I say go with it. If another country then consider the need to adapt to another culture. If another culture was your goal all along then go with it.

If ever I read a post that screams, “I need a therapist!”, this is it. Please find one so they can help you.

you really need to let go of all attachments. when you don’t have expectations you are more grateful for the good that happens in life. let go and be free

OK for those not paying attention (every one of you), this post is from a woman in the Arab Emirates. Women are literally treated like possessions, not people. The fact that she is afraid to leave is with dam ned good reason. The male members of her family would likely try to hunt her down and ki11 her for daring to leave. She does not need a therapist, she needs a country that does not treat women like this. OP, I am so sorry you live where you do. I wish I could give you sage advice but I do understand where you are coming from. As for the rest of you degenerates, pay attention before you vote YDI or give ignorant advice.

Good advice, though with all due respect, we can do without being called "degenerates".
