Insensitive
Today, I got written up by HR after my new coworker told them I had an ignorant, offensive caricature of Native American people decorating my desk. It was a framed photograph of an actual Native American tribe that belonged to my history buff grandfather. FML

Could you go to a higher up and show them the picture? This seems like an easy fix.

Sue them for Discrimination. Under California’s broad, pro-employee laws (perhaps the best in the US), “protected characteristics” mean: “race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, marital status, sex, age, or sexual orientation”. Discrimination laws, especially in California, offer powerful and effective protections for employees. If you think you have a discrimination case, do not wait. Strict time limits may apply. Contact a lawyer right away.
