Today, I realized that the only thing that relieves my chronic facial pain is vaping CBD. I previously was very vocal about how much I hate smoking and vaping. My kids think I'm a hypocrite. FML

Today, my mom caught me vaping weed oil and tried to ground me. I’m 33 years old, with my own wife and kids, weed is legal in this state with a medical card, and I use it to treat the seizures I’ve had since mom belted me around the head as a kid, giving me brain damage. FML
Today, my dad caught me vaping. From the volume of his yelling, you’d think he caught me sniffing cocaine out of a prostitute's ass crack. FML
Today, I ate fruit for a snack before I left to visit my mom. When I arrived, she accused me of vaping because I smelled like fruit. I'm also 27. FML
Today, I realized the only way for me to actually socialize is to smoke a joint. FML
Today, I realized cigarettes are my cure for boredom. I bore myself out of $2000-plus a year. FML
Today, I went to a dispensary to find relief for my chronic back pain. Turns out THC and my anxiety don't mix. I've been freaking out/paranoid/hyper diligent all night. I'm out $200, but at least thanks to my panic, I forgot my back pain. FML
Today, my dad yelled at me for using legal marijuana to help treat my potentially terminal cancer, which is kind of hypocritical for the man who spent significant portions of my childhood in jail for selling cocaine to rich high school kids. FML
Today, my 8 year-old sister tried vaping. My parents found out and planned on yelling at her, but nothing happened. She even got a reward for being curious. When I was 15 and got my first piercing (in the ear) I kinda got beat, and slept outside for the night. It makes me wonder what's going on sometimes… FML
Today, I'm trying to quit smoking because I'm actually running low on money. I just realized that I'm actually spending a lot more money and gaining more weight by eating junk food to relieve my anxiety than what I used to spend buying packs of cigarettes. I can't afford a psychologist, either. FML
Today, my mom found my dad's hidden stash of cigarettes. He told her they were mine and now I have to spend two hours at therapy for my "smoking problem" every weekend. I've never smoked. FML

You might be able to save face with the excuse that it's medicinal and medical necessity. but it's kinda YDI for being judgy and preachy. Humble yourself a little.

A very valuable life lesson that you never know someone’s pain until you walk a mile in their shoes… I genuinely think you should sit down with your kids, apologise, explain, and listen to them in future.

Talk to your doctor about a medication called carbamazepine. I have the same issue and this works pretty well for me. Actually works similarly to CBD and is way less expensive.

My father's smoking gave me health problems, and I still find vaping annoying. I really don't need to apologize for not liking smoking or vaping. CBD does come in pill form, but it doesn't work nearly as well as vaping it does. As far as my relationship with my kids, they are all adults, and we have a good relationship. I'm not a judgy or preachy person, but just have made my feelings about smoking and vaping known. BTW, none of my kids smoke or vape. They think it's funny that I have to use a vape now, and they like teasing me about it. It is pretty funny, to be honest. :)

Sounds like a possible case of trigeminal neuralgia. Very hard to treat and the pain is excruciating.
