Today, I found my 6 year-old daughter upstairs, lying on the floor with scissors. She was giving, "the carpet a haircut." FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.

I see a future barber

I've seen kids do things like that haha, just explain to her that carpets don't have grooming needs

I did the same aswell, seems to be pretty normal.

I used to do that when I was little!

I'm sorry but if me and my brothers and sisters knew not to do stuff like that by the age of three. you have a bad way of teaching your child

I used to do that too!

You should probably try to keep scissors away from your children when they're somewhere you can't see them. Six year olds aren't really known for their good judgement, and the next time she might try to cut her own hair or even accidentally injure herself.

Thanks for that pearl of wisdom. I'm sure OP didn't figure that out already. Boy, it's a good thing you're here to tell her where she went wrong.

Or the kid might have been like me when I was that age. Even if the scissors were hidden, the kid could have snuck around and found the scissors.

I used to do that when I was little !

Around her age, I thought my barbie dolls hair would grow back so I decide to cut all the way up her neck and color with markers. She young and just using her imagination. Maybe she thought it needed a haircut.

i cut a bunch of thing her age thinking there hair would grow back... my poor Barbie's..

...she's a KID for heaven's sakes! I shake my head at people who have such high expectations of children that age. This has nothing to so with stupidity or bad parenting for that matter. Some of you grown ups been to grow up!

That's more cute than an FML
