Today, my dumbass cat won't stop screaming and whining at me because I won't let him go outside. It's winter, and this is the Midwest. He did this without my knowledge once before and had almost frozen to death by the time I figured out where he was. Also, he's too loud for earplugs to drown him out. FML

Get away from me
Today, I learned that, after catching my newly adopted cat so we could spend some quality time in the closet during a tornado warning, she's unwilling to let me close enough to administer her ear drops. I left my covered parking at work and took hail damage for this. FML

Cats aren't like dogs. When they get out they stay within a couple hundred feet of your house and hide, sometimes for days. Get some shirts you've worn with your body smell on them and put them in your yard. Keep your front door open until your kitty comes home. Sleep by the open door if you must.
