Hello?
Today, I waited for the single bathroom for a very long time. I finally knocked on the door and found no one was in there. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I was at a gas station and I went to the bathroom. Thinking some was already in the bathroom, I waited for ten minutes while people lined up behind me only to find out that it was empty. FML
Today, I knocked on the door of the bathroom to make sure nobody was in there before I walked in. Then I remembered I live alone. FML
Today, I had no choice but to use a public bathroom. I have issues going when there are others in the stalls, and apparently another person did as well. We both sat there in silence, waiting stubbornly for the other to give up and leave so we could go. It’s been 20 minutes. FML
Today, I had to use a public bathroom. I have problems going when other people are there, so I waited until everyone left. Two girls noticed I was taking a long time, and started giggling and throwing notes under the door asking if I was alive. This continued for half an hour. FML
Today, I clogged the only toilet at work. Thinking I could escape and blame someone else, I opened the door, only to see a line of people waiting outside. FML
Today, the stall I was using didn't have any toilet paper in it. Being the immature idiot I am, I was too embarrassed to ask for someone to grab me some. So I waited 45 minutes for the bathroom to be empty and crept into the next stall, only to find it was also out of toilet paper. FML
Today, I finally found a place to stay after being kicked out by my parents. The psycho owner waited till now to tell me that my bathroom door will remain locked at all times, and that whenever I want to go in there, I have to ask him to unlock it, then do my business while he waits outside. FML
Today, I went into the bathroom and got angry upon finding that once again, no one had bothered to put on a new roll of toilet paper. And then I remembered that I live alone. FML
Today, I took my brother to the bathroom at a restaurant. The stall next to mine was locked, so I assumed he was still in there. I yelled his name a few times, then banged on the door out of annoyance. I gave up and returned to the table, where he was sitting with a grin. Turns out I just traumatized a poor lady in the stall. FML
Today, I was in a store using the only bathroom there. After I was done, I realized I couldn't open the door. Panicked it locked me in, I banged on the door, and screamed for help. The security and a whole group of people gathered, only to find that I was pulling the door instead of pushing it. FML

OP already flushed that opportunity.

I agree, but I've done this often. Usually in a loud restaurant or something and you not but you're not sure if you hear someone on the other side.

I'm the kind of guy that 1) knocks then 2) opens the door. Basically, if I get no response when knocking, I try opening it. It has worked thus far...

Eh I feel you. I find it awkward being on the receiving end of the knock like, "yes, someone is pooping here"
TheNewGuy03 29
Though awkward, I am understanding of it. People gotta shit and piss. But if I offer a clear response to the knocker and they keep on knocking, then they're just being a ****.

Why didn't you knock when you got there?

At least there was no one there to judge your awkward waiting!

It's okay honey, that's life. It happens to all of us.

I usually just yell "janitor!" and then bust in . Some times no one is in there . Other times the person is like how the **** did you get in my house ?!?

You'd think after 60 seconds with no sound or anything else to indicate occupation, you'd knock on the door and check.

That's a story? There's probably not a single person in the universe that has not done that. Although maybe "very long time" is a differentiator...

You should have guessed when nobody answered your call, not even Dame Nature.
