Desiree, I'm fully aware of that. As I said, everyone has flaws. I got teased mercilessly when I was younger for my lisp (which I still haven't fully gotten rid of), but I learned that the teasing stopped if I laughed along with them. The bottom line here is that OP should have enough pride not to care what people, boyfriend included, think about her weight. If she's happy with herself, that's all that matters.

False. The sensitive subjects need laughter the most. Yes, it's hard to lose weight but that doesn't automatically mean it's out of your control. Moot point here since this isn't about OP's weight; it's about the shitty bf. OP, do what you need to do to feel good about yourself then find someone who likes the person you are.

Weight is the #1 thing most people are insecure about! And yes! You SHOULD laugh at yourself often! I believe it's good for the soul!! BUT what her boyfriend said was so very insensitive and cruel! Ones emotions are not something to be messed with! This is the reason why so many people and young kids hurt and even kill themselves nowadays! It's called "bullying"! Yes, it is true that some people have certain diseases, but many of them are at least to a certain extent, curable or treatable. But the main contributor to obesity is unhealthy ways of living, I believe. And yes, in extreme cases, surgery is sometimes an option. But I believe that the most important thing is that you self are fine with your weight. :-)

I try not to be serious on this site but the "thyroid" problem got to me.. my sister used her thyroid problem as an excuse, but she also never dieted or exercised. However, now she is pregnant and has genstational diabetes so she HAS to diet.. and guess what.. SHE LOST WEIGHT.. don't give me excuses.. there are disorders out there that can make it difficult to lose weight but not impossible..

No, not all women are beautiful. There are a lot of ugly women (and men) out there. A few fortunate women can carry extra weight and be sexy, but most are at their best at a healthy weight, which is heavier than stick-skinny.
