Today, after I grounded my barely 18 year-old daughter for having sex with her boyfriend when I found a pack of condoms in her room while cleaning it, she responded by moving out and eloping with him. FML

Today, my daughter turned 18. She decided to use this day to tell me everywhere her and her boyfriends have had sex in my house to get revenge for being overprotective. FML
Today, I found out my 15 year-old daughter is sexually active. I found out by finding her in our bedroom with a boy from her class, using one of our condoms. Her dad hasn’t spoken or moved from the kitchen table in over 30 minutes. I think he’s so mad his brain glitched and got stuck. FML
Today, I caught my 20 year old daughter having sex with my best friend's husband. Apparently it's my fault for coming home early. FML
Today, my daughter turned up at my house because her boyfriend kicked her out. I rang him and it turns out his love and affection and even the time he spent getting to know her kids wasn’t enough for her, my daughter just had to throw it all away by sucking her coworker's dick in her boyfriend's bed. FML
Today, my parents grounded me and told me I can forget about going to prom, Grad Bash, and getting a new car for graduation. My mom was cleaning my room and found a pack of condoms in my dresser drawer. Oh, and they made me call my boyfriend they didn’t know about to tell him it was over, on speaker. FML
Today, my 15 year-old daughter decided that the best way to indulge her rebellious impulses was to sleep with the 30-something convict down the street, get pregnant, and try to convince him to let her move in. FML
Today, I had to throw my 16 year-old out of the house. Apparently, secretly have sex and aborting my grandchild was something she thought was acceptable. FML
Today, my 14-year-old daughter told me she's pregnant and plans on dropping out of school to live a life on the road with her boyfriend. FML
Today, I caught my 16-year-old daughter and her boyfriend trying to use a latex glove as a condom. FML
Today, as if it wasn’t bad enough my dumbass daughter would seduce and hookup with my boyfriends throughout her teenage years, she’s now ruined her own marriage by sleeping with married men, and wants to move back in with me. FML

It seems OP “forgot” that 18 (barely or not) is legally an adult… I am betting that OP also “forgot” what life was like when they were 18 or they either had a very sheltered life or a very wild one that caused their reaction. OP as your children grow up, you have to recognize that they will have their own lives that that choose. It may be more or less like yours, but it’s theirs to live, not yours to dictate… As others have said, Daughter was being responsible, and still is, by the way. You need to let go of your image of your daughter as a little child and learn to deal with things as they are.

You 100% deserve it. You should be happy she at least practiced responsibility via contraception. What are you gonna do? Seal her vaginal opening shut with gorilla glue? She's a human being that desires sex like the rest of the adult population I understand that you want to protect your daughter but she has rights of her own. Apologize to her when you get the opportunity.

OK.. there are a few questions I have here.. 1. WHY are you cleaning her room? 2. How did you find the condoms? I'm betting they were put in a drawer or somewhere private and you were actually snooping. 3. What made you think she was not sexually active? 4. WHY are you mad that she was having sex to begin with? The young lady clearly shows she is taking precautions to prevent unwanted pregnancies by using contraceptives. I'm not at all surprised she eloped and you are fully to blame for going in where you did not belong, invading her privacy and trying to force insanely stupid rules on a young adult that is clearly thinking about her choices and how to protect herself.
